When I first purchased my car, one of the essential items on my list was a fire extinguisher, and I ended up choosing the FIRST ALERT AUTO5 Car Fire Extinguisher. Although I haven’t had to use it (thankfully!), I feel a lot more secure knowing it's there, just in case. If you own a camper, and want a 1 shot extinguisher then this is the play. I fired the thing off and the amount of foam/retardent that comes out is truly impressive, it will instantly fill a truck camper to the point of blinding you and saturate everything. All slide in truck camper owners i think should have this bolted to a wall somewhere. We also lit a fire about 2ft in diameter and it extinguished it in less than 2 seconds. Be aware, when you pull the plastic pin to arm it, you REALLY need to yank on that pin, dont be shy to use a lot of strength.

I bought a total of 5 of these to keep one in each of my vehicles as emergency extinguishers. They’re the perfect size and shape to fit easily in a trunk, center console, truck box, etc. I’ve fortunately never had to use one so I can’t speak for how well they’ll work. My only criticism is that the mounting bracket that this comes with only has holes in it designed for wall mounting. There really should be openings molded into the plastic to allow a mounting strap or molle strap or even rope to be able to secure this to a roll cage or other automobile surface. Especially considering this is marketed as being suitable for use in a vehicle fire. I doubt anyone wants to drill holes into the inside of their car to mount this. Otherwise, as stated it’s a well made unit that’s a compact size and is priced competitively.

Luckily we haven't had the need to use this fire extinguisher but we love the compact size and light weight of this product. We got a couple for our Airbnb and it just feels safe to have one around which can be easy places in any space and easily addressed.
