Can the handle be put on a belt horizontally?

No. The leather sheath goes through the belt loop. Which makes it vertical.

It doesn't say anywhere where it's made but I would suspect it's made in China, but the quality is very good and I would buy it again. Remember Apple phones and ipads are made in China

In my opinion, this knife is junk. NedFoss has the 13" Jungle king, which is full tang, and a very strong knife, and also the 11 1/2" Baby kukri, which is also full tang and a good, strong tool. I wouldn't want to use the SA78 the way I do the other two as it does NOT have a full tang, just an appendage that the scales are attached to. The first one that was sent to me was done so poorly that I sent it back for a replacement. 4EDGE makes a very, very nice 15" Bowie, which is pleasing to the eye and robust without being bulky, or Ridge Runner has an Arkansas Toothpick (17") that is nicely done without being just a slab of steel to hang on the wall. Again, the 'Toothpick' is also full 5tang. GVDV puts out two knives that are really nice, one that is 11.8" and is full tang (with an 'ergo-naumic' black handle) that is robust and well done, and another that is 12 1/2" that looks well made, but if you need a hammer, get a hammer. The best Bowie I have is a 15" Leroy, made by Schrade, that is a monster that I have bought three of and given away as gifts (and are on sale now for $30).

Was looking for a quality hunting knife as my dad already has several Buck knives. Well, after getting it out of the nice packaging, my husband said, “let me see that!” as we both admired it.
