I picked up a new mechanical keyboard with Cherry Reds, to have performance of a mechanical without audibly clicky keys. The noise of the key impact on the downstrokes was still quite loud, a sharp plastic-on-plastic sound that resonated through the room. After fitting these new o-ring dampeners, that noise was noticeably reduced and I feel it also improves the overall feel while touch typing. They saved me from returning the keyboard (which I otherwise really like)!

I don't know if there are really 120 of these o-rings, but there are more than enough for my 65% keyboard. One was broken, but all of the others are fine. They definitely help reduce the noise, but I've learned that it also depends what keycaps you're using.

Was looking to reduce the noise from my favorite Durgod Taurus K320 - Cherry Brown keyboard... Installation was easy, especially once I perfected removing the keys with the tool that came with the keyboard. I only added one ring to each key because adding two rings didn't seem to make any difference. The sound difference is very noticeable and the typing feel is not all that different. The keys do feel a little heavier but they don't feel sticky like the Silent Red Durgod keyboard that I have. The keyboard is still loud, but nowhere near as clacky loud as it was without the rings. I ordered the red rings just because - looks like they're all the same. I'm a 150wpm+ typist (according to most online games) - these things actually improved the feel on my Durgod Taurus K320 keyboard (Cherry Brown). Love them!
