Chattanooga Colpac Cold Pack, Eye

You cannot go wrong buying the Chattanooga cold packs in any size or shape. The only thing I wish they had were covers, like a soft cotton felt or something. Why don’t they make them? They would sell them like crazy. But this stuff inside is amazing and you cannot go wrong. Never hardens up it is always pliable, we only like six different styles and we giving away many as gifts and they love them too! You can really heal your ailments with these.

I put it on my forehead and temples, moving it around every couple of minutes to prevent tension headaches. (Not over my eyes, it kinda hurts my eyelids to have something so cold on them) I was getting strong headaches several times a week before I bought this and now they are rare. Works great. After 10 minutes, I put it back in the freezer and feel much more relaxed and eye and temple muscles are no longer strained. Might also prevent wrinkles because you’re not furrowing your brows anymore.

Colpac products are generally good, but the space between the eye pads here is much too long.... Just look at it: Whose eyes are that far apart???? I don't recommend it.

*No compensation or bribes for this review* ;-) Fantastic product that is exactly as described. After 5 kids and 3 solid years of no sleep this little eye soother is now a daily part of my routine, with one caveat...it does not stay cold very long. Aside from that, here’s what I like: 1. Very tough outer shell. My niece grabbed it out of the freezer and chewed on it with her very sharp 8 teeth and not a hint of a scratch. We even had to yank on it like a dog fighting for its toy. 2. The handy bag it comes in is a great way to store it immediately after use. 3. Had my niece popped it, she would’ve been fine! Silica gel filling gives me a little less worry with my own little chewers around. (No, silica gel is not poisonous, despite your mom and grandma telling you you’d die if you touched the packet from their shoe boxes!) 🤗 4. Flexibility. I did see other reviews state that it doesn’t conform to their faces, but without being adjustable in some way that seems like a given for an inexpensive ice pack. If you squish the bridge together as you’re putting it on and then pinch/squeeze the outside of the eye portion it does shift toward the eye and stay there. I also use it on my knee, as the eye pads just so happen to align nicely on the sides of my knee. I’ve used it on low back too, because it stays put even with yoga pants band as a placeholder. 5. It beats the old cold washcloth routine and keeps my eyes down for a few hours afterward. 6. Worked a mini-miracle for my husband’s migraine. What didn’t I like? 1. It doesn’t stay cold very long. I timed it today and it only stayed therapeutically cold for 10 minutes - using on eyes. Especially for the add-on price, this item is worth it. I don’t know that I’d pay more than $6-$8 or so, but I’m happy I made the purchase and would buy another if needed. Hope this was helpful!
