Ricola has always been a go-to for more persistent coughs or throat irritation. These sugar-free drops are excellent because they provide that signature blend of Swiss herbs and menthol without any sticky aftertaste. The flavor is earthy and soothing, and they really help suppress a cough when you’re out and about. Having the 45-count bag is great value and ensures you’re prepared for the season. They are small and easy to carry, making them a staple in my daily kit.

These are the only cough drops I buy, very much worth it. Taste good, work well. Most cough drops dont do the job at all, but this one has effects lasting up to an hour than you just pop in another one. Very soothing to suck one and very delicious.

Menthol hits just right, and the herbal flavor actually makes you feel like you’re in the Alps while your sore throat takes a vacation! Ahhh. soothing. I'm a baby when I am sick. They work fast, last long enough to savor (or secretly hoard), and don’t leave that weird overly sweet aftertaste some cough drops have. Definitely saved me from sounding like a croaky frog at work. If your throat is staging a rebellion, these drops will win the battle—bonus points for tasting like a mini herbal spa! RICOLAAAAAAA !

The classic Ricola Swiss herb flavor is so pleasant and nostalgic to me that when I suck on one of these, I feel more than just relieved--I feel comforted. They're effective for sore throats and coughs that arise from the throat, but I find they're not at all helpful for deeper chest coughs, except insofar as they soothe the pain coughing causes in your throat regardless. I appreciate that there's a sugar-free option because I hate how regular cough drops leave my mouth feeling filmy from the sugar. I just wish I could get them in bigger bags!
