Seems to have fulfilled expectations.
I am not a chemist, but to the best of my knowledge this product served the intended purpose of assisting to cure the meat I had available to create what I would call a "corned pork" rather than a corned beef. The recipe called for saltpeter, among a number of other things. It came out nice, preserving the typical pink throughout the cooking process.

Product photo deceptive, lost half of saltpeter in shipping package.
When I bought this the product image showed a plastic container. I received a packet, and that packet was unsealed, and spilled half the contents into the bubble mailer, which became stuck. So I was left with about half the product I paid for, and I didn't have a container to keep it in. I would not have paid this much for a packet.

My corned beef was perfect
I liked the amount I got, just enough for two batches of corned beef. Not a big honking box of it. also it shipped and arrived quickly.
