Reading Pillow for Bed, Backrest Pillow for Sitting Up with Arms

I love this pillow. I bought it with a couch desk and extended monitors so I can easily work on my laptop from my couch. It gives me great support in the corner of my couch to sit and work for hours. My family, including my husband who has back issues, also use it a lot. It’s soft while also firm and supportive and I love the large size. Great value, would buy again.

This actually provides some pretty good support and is comfy. Some reviews mentioned it did not take shape when unpacked, my did just fine. Was good to go after 24-hr, they recommend 48. The head pillow is a little floppy but it works fine. You can use it as neck support or throw it back for your head to rest against. The material seems a little dated, like corduroy from the 1970s. I removed a couch pillow in my picture and it fits nicely and gives more room for my legs stretched out on the couch and an ottoman. And the wall supports the pillow nicely. Also, it does not smell, which is a plus. So many fill materials (foam) these days give off a nasty odor.

I was all set to not like this pillow but am surprised at out how comfortable it turned out to be. My dog, a 3 year old golden doodle named Clay, insists on my sitting on the floor and playing with him after dinner. I have a padded ottoman/sofa coffee table that I would previously prop two pillows, one on the floor and one by the corner leg, to sit and lean against for support. The back pillow was never high enough and offered a bit of cushioning but no support and needed to be replaced. I finally went on the hunt for this genre of pillow and decided to take a chance on the Tinuniyaa based on reviews, and the height and angle of the back. I was initially ready to return it as it unwrapped into a lumpy wobbly mess but after following the directions, allowing it to expand and 'cure' for 48 hours, shaking it a bit here and there, I was pleasantly surprised how firm the pillow plumped up to be! The back extends slightly higher than the ottoman it is leaning against and the head support is not fixed tight to the back allowing it to flop over the back if you don't want to use it. This turned out great for me because as it is up against the ottoman on the floor, and not a headboard or wall, there is no support for the head roll to lean against. I have not tried it against a wall or headboard but for my purpose I am quite happy with this pillow, would recommend and would definitely buy again.

This back pillow worked so well for me, especially while going through health issues and having to sit up while sleeping. I also took it with me for overnight stays and it worked out perfectly for me.

It is serviceable though a bit awkward to move. But it has a few real dealbreakers. The back/bottom of the pillow is totally round, so it tends to gradually “pitch” back and forth. It’s so sturdy that the wrong angle quickly becomes annoying. And yes, the flimsy head pillow is only attached by tiny straps, but can be cut off. The “green” option is almost white. It could be called “matcha milk”. Keeping in mind this is a large item to have constantly reflecting light when not in use.

As per the other reviews this thing is big. If you are using it for an occasional back rest in bed. This may not be for you. This is unreal for back issues. I've had posture issues forever. Our couch has no real back support and no head support at all! This greatly improved my posture sitting. Which has improved my overall posture and pain. I cannot recommend this enough for back issues. I got a Millard for Christmas and returned it. It's very similar to most others out there. All the stuffing ended up in the arms and bottom. This the stuffing can't migrate as easily. Waiting on an infared heating pad to go with it. I think this may make a world of difference as well. I'm 5'2 and this fits me perfectly.

I bought 4 similar sit-up-in-bed-against-the-wall pillows this year. This particular one was the least liked by my family. It quickly lost all firmness and became floppy. There was poor lumbar support from the get go. It actually shoved my shoulders forward, so I had to use a separate pillow for the lumbar area. As such, it was useless. I could have bought more fill to stiffen it up, but I figured I would be wasting more money. The one thing I really liked about it it tallness.
