Most of the reviews of this set are correct: rifle is okay, pistol is meh
This is first and only airsoft set (so far), so I have nothing to compare it to other than the real deal. Here is what you need to know about this set.The rifle is all plastic, but sturdy and well made. It is somewhat heavy for plastic, mostly (I suspect) because there are weights in the magazine (to make it fall out realistically) and in the folding stock. It feels good in the hands even though the entire gun is scaled down and pretty small for an adult. The rifle is somewhat accurate out to about 30 feet. It will shoot much farther, but the projectile path becomes nearly unpredictable. The sites are not adjustable by design. Past 30 feet, your projectiles typically follow a curving, upward path (and mine always curve off a bit to the left). To hit a target 60 feet away, I find that I need to aim well below... at least 1 or 2 feet below the target using the static "iron" sites. The BB will curve upwards 95% of the time and hit within 1-2 feet of where I intended. The "hop up" control does not appear to change projectile behavior in any noticeable way.The pistol looks and feel pretty good, although the grip is much fatter than the real thing. The weighted magazine falls out of the grip when the release is pressed, which is nice. The slide only retracts about 2 inches, which makes cycling a round kind of strange when you are used to the full travel of an actual pistol slide. It is only somewhat accurate to about 8-10 feet. Beyond that, your shot becomes completely random. The pistol comes with a holster that is actually pretty nice. I don't yet have a holster for my real pistol, so I tried putting it in this one. It fit perfectly and worked well when I stuck it on my belt for a few minutes. The pistol also comes with a speed loader, which is a strange addition... but it works really well. There are no instructions for using it, so you have to figure it out yourself, but it really does work nicely. Too bad I never want to actually shoot with the pistol. The rifle will embed a BB in thick, heavy styrofoam without a problem. The pistol... not so much. Sometimes the shot will stick and sometimes it will bounce off.Overall, this is a neat little package that comes at a pretty fair price.

Crosman Stinger R39
The Stinger R39 rifle is the best spring airsoft rifle I have seen yet. Most sellers have this listed as shooting 325 feet per second but the Crosman package it comes in states that it shoots 350 feet per second and that is one of the highest fps ratings I have seen for a spring rifle. I spent quite a bit of time looking for a quality spring rifle for my nephew because he insisted that he did not want an electric rifle. I settled on the Stinger R39 and could not have been happier with the quality of this airsoft gun. The plastic is very durable and gives the rifle enough weight to be comfortable but it is also a nice compact design and the folding stock is a nice addition for transport. The weaver style rails on the top and bottom make it easy to add red dot sights, grips, etc. The flip up sights are plastic but they are pretty good quality and easily abjustable for targeting. I purchased this for around $38 from Pyramyd Air and I recommend using them as they ship promptly and their shipping rates are reasonable. After purchasing one for my nephew I purchased a second one for myself so we could have skirmishes in the back yard. I oufitted my with an NC Star red dot sight and vertical grip. The pistol that comes with this package is decent quality but the grip on it is very bulky for some reason and it will probably find its way into a storage box in the near future but it comes with a holster that could be handy for another pistol. The rifle however is worth every penny. Crosman also makes this rifle in a Marine series, comes in miltary green, that sells the rifle by itself for slightly more so the package is definitely the way to go.

Very Good Buy
This is my first Airsoft purchase ever so I had done my research on a lot of different guns. I pretty much looked at every spring powered Airsoft rifle on Amazon under $40. I ended up going with this because the price was very affordable, and it came with two guns, BB's and a holster. The RifleThis is by far my favorite.Pros: - It is extremely accurate - has a good weight (not too light, not too heavy) - solid build despite being plastic.Cons: - My only issue is that the magazine only holds 18 BB's. It's not a huge issue because it takes a matter of 20 seconds to reload them. Just a small side issue.I can shoot targets roughly 100 ft away on a straight line. I went ahead and purchased the .20g biodegradable BB's and they work even better than the .12g BB's that came with the gun.The PistolThe pistol isn't bad. From my usage so far, the pistol isn't all that accurate. It's sturdy like the rifle but the accuracy just isn't there.Pros: - It's a second gun for a friend to shoot - Pack some power behind it. - Built solid, feels like it is going to last a long whileCons: - Within ~1 ft accuracy when shooting a target 40 ft away. - Not able to adjust anything on the gun to try to help with the accuracyI would recommend buying this pack because you do get two guns so if you and a friend want to shoot around in your backyard the second person doesn't stand there watching while you shoot.Shipping came prompt, next day with my Amazon Prime account. I love Amazon for that.
