P&P CHEF Bread Loaf Pan, Stainless Steel Large Loaf Pans for Baking, 2Pcs

For awhile I have been looking for a 12x5 stainless or glass loaf pan where one pan could fit over the other as a cover to bake sourdough bread. I have found that you can’t do that with most loaf pans, including my own. I was thrilled to find these larger than average stainless steel pans that fit together well enough to secure one as a cover. They are well made and heavy enough, and are so easy to wash. Even though they are dishwasher safe, I handwash because it is so easy to do so. I use ghee (which has a high enough smoke point for the 425 degree oven I bake my bread in) to grease the bottom pan The bread never sticks in the pan, pops right out. I’m so very happy with these, the ease of use, the effortless care required, and they cost a quarter of the cast iron versions. I’ve tried two different cast iron loaf pans with nicely designed tops and they baked very well, but I found them just too bulky and heavy for me to use 2-3 times a week, and I hate cleaning them and worrying about rust and re-seasoning. I should note that the width measurement is off (as with most loaf pans). The actual width at the bottom is 4”.

I use these pans to bake bread. Lined with parchment paper, they release the bread easily. The bread comes out perfectly browned without getting a super hard crust on the side or the bottom. The pans wash easily and don't rust. Admittedly I dry them right after washing so I can put them away and enjoy a tidy kitchen. The longer length means I can make more bread with less end crust. I'm glad I got them. I proportionally increased my recipes by 40% per pan to take advantage of the longer length.

Great pans! Nice, solid, metal. I don't bake in them. I use them as molds for my No Bake Refrigerated Cloud Cake. Two pans yield 14 generous servings of cake slices.

This pan is so easy to clean! It cooks evenly. It’s perfect for a sandwich size loaf.

Love these pans, tbh. Easy to clean, and they are REAL stainless steel, which is appreciated. ONLY thing I am not a fan of is the fact that when these pans are stacked, you can tell where there is "flex" in the pan (towards the middle section on both long sides) Weight is good, and I consistently cook great quality sourdough bread in these pants without parchment paper (they just slide right out). I usually coat the pans in olive oil (or canola) first, though, just in case. They are durable, and non-stick for me, given I do give them a little oil. They are a little pricey, but given the options out there, they are competetively priced, I guess. These are a little hard to unstack compared to the smaller versions. ALSO, theses are ever so slightly bigger than the 9x5 pans. They are like .5 inches wider and .5 inches taller than the smaller ones, which was not expected and kind of saddening because my oven is small, and I had to play the worst game of tetris as a result of the very minimal size difference.

I love the size of these stainless steel bread pans. I bought a pack of 2 and gave them 5 stars because of the quality.
