Nice upgrade to my old Scorp.
All features seem to work as expected. Once you've got your camera balanced, the motors prove plenty strong. I've got a smallish Canon M200 mounted in mine to get some steady b-roll shots and it works so much better than expected. It's not exactly heavy, but with the camera on it..this thing is a beast. Luckily it has two ways to carry it, or it can be used two-handed. Plus, it can always be mounted on a tripod and still get good auto tracking. There are two main uses I have and they work significantly better than the original Scorp - 1. Staying pointed in one direction no matter how I move the gimbal. 2. Selfie Mode....I know it's silly, but having the ability to quickly have the camera face me is invaluable to the types of videos I'm making. I've not tried this gimbal while running...That just kinda seems silly to me. I have tested it mounted in my truck driving down dirt roads, and I've used it while walking around the farm. Resulting video is significantly more stable than I could do by hand or with a traditional tripod/monopod while doing those things. If I was looking for an action cam, I'd have gotten one. I wanted something to use my existing cameras in light/moderate work environment and maintain the same aspect ratios and use the same lenses, etc. One thing I am looking forward to is shooting video at local sporting events. They currently have a stationary tripod, but this would make the live-streaming so much more engaging. The app(s) work well and are more intuitive than the controls on the device. One cool feature is that it can use your phone's accelerometer to control where the gimbal is looking. I have had a bit of fun with that, but it does require a sturdy tripod. The motors on the Scorp Mini 3 are pretty responsive and may tip over a cheap-o tripod. Battery indicator on the app doesn't appear to be accurate, though. The AI tracking works great because of the built-in camera. You can't use it for pictures or anything (at least not that I've discovered), but it does keep your target in sight. Will be very handy at the games to get highlights. So far, battery life has been pretty decent, but I think I'll keep a portable battery with me if I plan to make longer videos. About 40 minutes of light use in my truck and in the office and I'm still showing about 76%. Overall, with just a couple weeks with it, I am very happy with the Mini 3. It helps to have experience with gimbals, though. I would advise new users to watch the videos included with the app, but it is still pretty intuitive. I definitely am liking it better than the original Scorp, so I'll happily retire that one.

Great Gimbal with strong motors Awesome for heavier phone filming rigs.
Works very well overall. Long review ...but hopefully it helps someone with making a decision. Some of my gear: iPhone 17 Pro max 1 TB, Smallrig case/cage combo, Smallrig VND filters, Freewell 1.33x anamorphic lens, Lexar 2TB SSD. Also have a rode video mic but haven't used it on the iphone yet. I like that it has a good payload capacity. Great for using with an iPhone pro max especially if you have extra gear on it (lens, storage, battery, etc.) The phone mount is ok but doesn't balance great with a heavier phone setup. Mounting a phone upside down (horizontal) does help, but still isn't perfect. What is nice is that if you have a phone cage you can use the camera mount plate instead (assuming the cage has a 1/4" hole). Another option is to get a fairly cheap phone clamp that has a 1/4" screw hole and mount that the the camera mount plate. With either of those (I prefer the phone clamp) you can now balance it very well even with something like an anamorphic lens an or other accessories. Now onto the gimbal: AI tracking is quite good. Not 100% perfect but still pretty good. It seems to need a decent contrast or color differences to be able to keep the tracking on the subject. One thing to note: on its own it will track faces. You can use gestures to enable, frame and start/stop recording. If you want subject tracking (animal, car, etc) You will want to use the Feiyu On camera app and then you can drag a finger to make a box around the subject. You'll need to be close enough for the subject to be big enough to make a 'box' over (on your phone's screen) Bummer though: Feiyu On app doesn't support anamorphic lenses so you'll need to use a photo/video editing app to "desqueeze" if you use an anamorphic lens. With a different camera app (iphone's built in, Blackmagic, Filmic, etc.), you won't have the subject tracking (not that I've figured out anyhow) Motors are strong and work well. Just be sure to auto-tune the motors after balancing your camera/phone. I usually just let it auto-tune vs manual tuning. It is easy and has worked great for me. The gimbal is smooth and does a great job. The joystick works well and the pan/tilt speed does increase the further you move the joystick from the center. This is nice so that you can pan and/or tilt slowly but still have more speed if you move the joystick further out from center. It is a little touchy but a little practice to learn it and it's pretty simple. The joystick speed can be adjusted but at higher settings, a slight movement makes a big speed difference (on pan/tilt speed) I had tried the Hohem iSteady M7 prior to the Feiyu SCORP mini 3 and it wasn't good at all. It seemed to have a tough time and got "confused" often ..the gimbal would flake out and turn to an odd orientation with the phone almost vertical, etc. It also had quite a bit of vibrating and shaking at times. The Feiyu Scorp hasn't done that at all for me. I like it MUCH better than the M7 (don't believe all the youtube hype on the M7 unless you're just using a plane phone ..no lenses, etc.) The kit is nice having the case, extension pole and light. The light is ok, but nothing incredible. Worth the extra price for the case and pole ...those would cost about 50 bucks and 15 bucks to purchase separately. If you don't need them, the gimbal by itself is fine, but not much cheaper. I really like the Feiyu Scorp mini 3 and definitely would recommend to anyone. The only real competition is the DJI mini 4 and that's roughly double the price tag (but does look to be very nice too and I am a DJI fan).

Fantastic upgrade to original and perfect for novice to professional content creators
As an owner of a previous model, the FeiyuTech SCORP Mini 3 Pro Kit is a massive, game-changing upgrade and the defining solution for creators needing a single stabilizer for all their gear. I was particularly impressed by the increased capacity to hold heavier cameras and the significantly improved ergonomics. The finishing detail is superb: the metal components feature a velvet-smooth finish that feels fantastic to the touch. I was pleasantly surprised by the phone mount. It has an integrated fan to keep the phone cool! The kit comes with every accessory needed to mount your cameras with lenses, go-pro, or phone. It even comes with a massive rechargeable light to fill the scene you're shooting. The AI capability was also notable. I was able to lock onto the object I was shooting and the gimbal kept it centered as I moved all around. This AI feature kept the subject perfectly centered and composed, freeing me to focus entirely on content creation.

Effortless Calibration, Solid Build, Smooth Shots
I’m a vlogger, and I’ve been using the Mini 3 Pro for a few weeks now, and let me tell you, I’m obsessed! I’m not a pro filmmaker by any means, just someone who loves capturing life, filming content, and sharing little moments. And this gimbal has seriously leveled up my setup! Pros: 1.Beginner-friendly and foolproof! This thing makes my shots look so smooth, no more shaky chaos. I’ve used it with my phone and my Sony camera, and it works beautifully with both! 2.Calibration is a breeze! It's smooth and easy, and there’s even an app to help if you’re feeling overwhelmed. 3.The AI tracking is magic! It literally follows me around while I film, no app needed! Perfect for solo filming, especially when I’m on the go or shooting a vlog by myself. 4.This gimbal does not feel cheap. It’s lightweight but sturdy, way better than others I’ve tried that felt bulky or plasticky. 5.BONUS: It has a fan mount for your phone, I had no idea how clutch this would be until I started doing longer shoots. No more overheating = happy phone, happy me!
