Well packed sardines in traditional King Oscar style. Unique flavor and firm quality sardines.

The only place I could find them. Honestly ate straight from the can. The vinegar taste is light and subtle. Caper’s didn’t add much flavor. I am a King Oscar fan so they can do no wrong. Enjoyed! Next time I will just add red wine vinegar.

OK maybe add a little salt. These have great flavor and I drain some of the oil and go outside and eat them. Then immediately toss the can, lid and wrapper. I’m going to be doing my 3rd sardine fast, 5 days this time. Feel those ketones kicking it, it’s an amazing feeling! I eat several cans a week for lunch. I buy a case when they’re on sale and have a few subscriptions too. King Oscar is my fav brand, never disappoints.

King Oscar is my go to for tinned fish. I love their Mediterranean flavor sardines and get them all the time. Not a fan of the white wine and capers. The vinegar is overpowering and all you can taste. The capers don't add anything. They're just mushy and there. The texture of the fish is soft. I don't know if it's the flavor or just this batch, but I'm used to firmer texture. They're okay, and I'll finish them, but I won't be getting this flavor again.

King Oscar double-layer bristlings are my go-to canned fish, but they’re in short supply now, along with KO cross packed and Tiny Tots, probably a consequence of what appears to be an Internet-fueled sardine craze. Looking for a substitute, I ordered these, as they still have some olive oil, and I often add a vinegrette to my sardines. Opening the can, these aren’t nearly as attractive as the plain KOs. Lifting one from the can I can tell that they’re softer as well- not surprising, I suppose. The flavor is okay, but definitely not as good as the plain bristlings in olive oil. Overall, a solid B-/C+ bristling. I’ll eat them all, of course, but I doubt I’ll order them again.
