Hibiscus, also known as Roselle, is of the Hibiscus sabdariffa species. This shrub produces white flowers with dark red calyces at their base. These calyces are harvested and dried to be used in many applications such as food coloring, beauty products, and most popularly Hibiscus tea. This caffeine free, herbal tea produces a floral, tart flavor similar to cranberry, with a beau-tea-ful deep crimson color. Use Anthony’s Organic Hibiscus in baked goods, salads, jams, and teas, or simmer it for an aromatic potpourri. Anthony’s Hibiscus Flowers are Organic, Gluten Free, Non-GMO, and Non-Caffeinated, with no other Additives. Directions: Pour 1 cup boiling water over 1 tsp Hibiscus, cover, and steep 5-7 mins until deep red. Can be enjoyed hot or iced. Sugar or honey is often added to sweeten. Great product, good taste
Really fresh smell, good taste. Has sticker covering the words "irradiated". So was it irradiated or not? Packed in California, but doesn't specify where were the plants grown in first place, not even country name. Hope it's not Chernobyl.

This Hibiscus Tea is SUPERIOR QUALITY! I've tried other brands but this one seems to possess a more rich, earthy flavor... I LOVE IT!!! I feel that it will greatly benefit my health! I'll be back!!

Delicious Hibiscus Tea <3
I'm really pleased with this dried hibiscus so far. I've made about three batches of red drink with it, cold brewed with cinnamon, and it's been just lovely. It smells nice, a bit tart, still working on my recipe, thinking about adding flavors. As summer's coming on, I'm searching for a cold beverage that doesn't involve caffeine for evening drinks and this is just the thing. I'm told hibiscus tea is good for your health in a number of areas that would probably make my doctor (and my body) very happy. The tea came quickly, which made me happy, well packaged, study bag, and it's a good amount. I have a feeling I'm going to be able to make quite a few batches of tea with this one bag -- especially if I continue to be the only one drinking it. I would recommend Anthony's Organic to anyone. I enjoy that the company is committed to providing high quality herbs and spices and are helping make possibly more difficult to find products accessible for more folks. I don't think dried hibiscus would ever be in my grocery store, so I'm happy I can find it here via Anthony's.
