perfect for summer trips/camping and backup for short outage
A couple of years ago, I bought another brand with the same 1kWh capacity, but it only had 120W charging and 1000W output. That really limited what I could use. This one is so much better — 1200W charging means it's fully charged in an hour, and 1800W output can handle pretty much any kitchen appliance that plugs into a regular wall outlet. It's also great as a UPS for short power outages. It charges super fast and is incredibly easy to use. Depending on what you plug in, the display tells you exactly how many hours of battery life are left. It can run a fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, TV, internet, some lamps, and charge phones and flashlights. Not all at once, of course — you have to use a little common sense. The microwave or induction cooktop is the biggest drain; it can kill the battery in 30 minutes. But for outdoor use, that's plenty for two meals. Used wisely, it's an amazing backup for short outages. The digital display shows battery percentage, charge time, and input/output wattage — everything I need. I also love that I can control everything from its app — charging speed, enabling or disabling each output port. It would be perfect if it came with a car charger. Highly recommended!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rock-solid home backup setup: DELTA 2 + extra battery + solar (1+ year later)
I bought the EcoFlow DELTA 2 along with the add-on battery and 400W solar panels a little over a year ago as a home backup solution—mainly for power outages during extreme weather. After owning and using this setup for over a year, I can say it’s held up very well and has done exactly what I wanted: reliable, ready-to-go backup power that doesn’t feel like a “toy” when you actually need it. Why I chose this setup: I wasn’t looking for something that only charges phones. I wanted a system I could depend on when the grid goes down—something I can: - Keep charged and ready - Scale up beyond 1 kWh - Recharge from solar if outages last longer than expected The DELTA 2 + extra battery checks those boxes in a clean, modular way. What I like most: 1) It’s been durable and dependable for over a year. The main unit and extra battery have both held up very well so far. That’s the biggest compliment I can give any “emergency” purchase—when you buy it for insurance, you want it to still be solid later. 2) The extra battery is worth it. The base unit is great, but pairing it with the add-on battery takes it from “nice backup” to something that feels legitimately useful in longer outages. More runtime means less stress. 3) Solar makes it a real resilience tool, not just a big battery. Having 400W of solar means I’m not purely dependent on wall charging. Even if you’re not trying to run your whole house, solar gives you the ability to replenish power during extended outages, which is exactly why I bought it. 4) It’s fast and practical to recharge and keep ready. One of the underrated things about EcoFlow is you can top it off quickly and keep the system “prepared” without it being a chore. What I’d tell someone considering it: If you’re buying for extreme weather / outages, I strongly recommend budgeting for the extra battery. If you want true outage resilience, adding solar is what turns it into a more complete plan—especially if outages can last more than a day. Whenever this setup eventually gives out, I'll definitely consider replacing with another Ecoflow product.

Simple to use. Performance as advertised.
A second update has been added to the end of this review. A quick update: The power station sat for a couple of months after the most recent charge. Today I decided to discharge and recharge it. It still showed 100% charge when turned on and ran a small portable room air conditioner for over half an hour. It still had 50% charge and didn’t get even slightly warm. The AC unit draws about 900 watts. This is truly an impressive device! Original review: I have used this power station only for a few days and so far it has proven to be easy to use and it delivers the performance advertised. It is quick to charge, even at a much lower charge rate than maximum. It is not particularly loud when charging. I have tested it by using it to power my CPAP machine. In this application, it is silent. I calculate it would be able to operate the CPAP machine between 4 and 7 nights. My machine heats the humidifier water and the breathing tube. Other machines might do even better if they don’t have these features. We recently experienced a once-every-30-year ice storm and were without electricity for about 4 ½ days. I wish I had this power station during the blackout, but I am quite confident it will serve us well now that we have it. Our freezer just barely kept most if the food safe, but running it for an hour or two once or twice a day would certainly extend that safety margin considerably, and the power station could probably handle that for a day or two and still provide adequate cell phone charging and enough time on the CPAP machine to keep me safe for a few nights. The unit itself was well-packaged. The instructions are clear, and the app fairly simple and useful. The unit itself is not visibly intrusive, it’s quite compact and seems very well made. These days we are almost shamefully dependent on our electric and electronic devices, which are getting very energy efficient. Also this dependency is much more pronounced as we live longer. All in all a great purchase, which I hope never to actually need to use, but I am very sure we will need it sooner or later. Second update: About 14 months after the terrible power outage last year I bought a second Delta 2. The first one has performed perfectly, particularly during a fairly lengthy power outage a couple of months ago. I have been considering how to increase my reserve capacity: Should I get an auxiliary battery or a second power station? The price is about the same, but having 2 complete units seems to be more flexible. I had an opportunity to get a second Delta 2 for about ⅓ off the regular price, so that became my choice. It’s so impressive how the power station pretty much sets itself up once plugged in, the app is opened on my phone and I touch h to the + button to add a new device. This is now my third EcoFlow unit because I bought a River 2 just for my CPAP machine about 6 months ago, and it has kept me safe on quite a few occasions. I feel very confident that we will be able to manage well during any future power interruptions.
