What is the Yabukita Cultivar?

Cultivars are selectively bred plants for desired traits and qualities. FKRŌ's Tea Master's Hojicha uses the YABUKITA cultivar, only the youngest leaves, preserving umami and reducing astringency. Perfect for Hojicha drinks, desserts, and pastries.

What is the difference between the Hojicha and Matcha?

Hojicha is a roasted, low-caffeine Japanese tea with a smoky, nutty flavor, while Matcha is a shade-grown, vibrant green powdered tea with a grassy, umami-rich taste and higher caffeine content.
