Are the tubes supposed to be open?

I’ve purchased more than once & the tubes were always open. The box was sealed.

Can it be used everyday? And if so how many months it can be used in continuity? It’s working wonders for us, so I just want to know can I continue?

It's organic so we used as needed which for our little one was every 1hr or so to keep her comfortable
