How much should I need for a patio set, table + 4 chairs + bench?

I did 4 chairs and I still had half a bottle left. I even did a second coat on the arms. Hope that helps.

How long can the unsed product be stored? I want to buy the gallon and use half this year and half next.

It lasts a long, long time. I bought a gallon several years ago, use about a quarter of it a year and it seems to work perfectly. It does not 'go bad' though you do want to be sure that you have the cap on tight to prevent evaporation.

Will this oil go bad or deteriorate with age?

All products have a shelf life. Teak Oil typically is good for 3-5 years depending on where & how it is stored.
