Very solid, hold tight.

Perfect fit for my Trek Marlin 5 gen3. Good quality, good material, easy to adjust, worth the money.

These are nice looking and performing seat post clamps, but I’ve had the issue on several 30.9 diameter seats that these clamps don’t close tight enough (they “bottom out”). It depends on the frame material to some degree, like thinner steel frames have the issue but thicker carbon frames don’t. It’s a shame because just a slight redesign (or a second size) would fix the issue easily.

I never thought I'd write a review for something as boring as a seat post clamp, but here I am. If you mountain bike, you may question your sanity as you question whether your seat post is slipping. "Surely, it's not", you say to yourself when you recall the uncomfortable cracking sound it made as you torqued it to spec and your own light weight, "Surely, this multi-$k toy has a competent clamp." Then, you get home and measure the millimeters of slip and repeat the cycle. After trying all the carbon grip paste and bolt cleaning the world can offer, just order this, install and adjust it once and be done and enjoy the ride rather than worry about a cheap part.

Yes, it's expensive but it's worth it trust me. I was having bad creaks from the seat tube with the previous clamp that had a quick release. After installing this one, I haven't heard any weird noises. Torque it to 6Nm. Overall the clamp looks clean and improves the aesthetics of the bike imo. No added bulk from the quick release lever. I don't change the height of my saddle like ever so I don't really need a clamp with a quick release.
