Hi. Is it necessary to apply the solution to all faces of the timber? Alternatively how deep will it penetrate? I need to treat some skirting boards.

Well.. if the skirtings are painted, i doubt the wood worm solution will 'soak' thru that.. stipple solution on with a brush.. wood maybe in poor condition ?? Best to carefully remove burn if possible.. and replace skirting.. i repaired some steps.. and added solution to a small area.. otherwise be sure fluid seeps into holes.. 'hard on a vertical surface !!!!"

Is this ok to use on antique furniture and 200 year old painted furniture?

Hello I have used this on a very old ash and elm wooden chair ... it did take the patina off ... so looked a bit different afterwards ....... I havent used it on anything with paint on .... so sorry I dont know

No wood worn anymore. Applied to lamp table oak top out in the garden for ventilation and left overnight in the shed. Mask definitely recommend as this is strong stuff!
