The Wonder And Power Of "Jade East" Cologne For Men
Jade East Cologne 4 Ounces --- "Jade East" is still just as bold, masculine, room-filling and great as it was when I first encountered it in 1962. Back then it was "The" cologne for men and everybody who was anybody wore it. It is powerful and a little goes a long way and it seems to last forever and is especially durable when applied sparingly to clothing. The thing that appeals to me about "Jade East" is that it seems to be getting harder to find now so that places it in what I consider to be a sort of "Exclusive" realm and I am always in favor of having access to "Exclusive" things. I am glad to have rediscovered this wonderful old cologne and I intend to order several bottles of it.

Great.
It's an old scent, but it smells great, coming from a guy in his 20s, I like it, it has a masculine musk to it, yet it even has almost a baby powder note to it, it really smells good, it's not overpowering at all.

A nice throwback by regency..
I bought this product having never encountered it, already knowing basically what to expect. And I was not disappointed! For those who love the pinaud clubman aftershave and want a cologne to match, this is essentially that. It's a very simple, timeless fragrance that i could immediately connect with. Similar to hai karate also, but really to me it smells just like clubman but slightly muted and just a tad more spicy (less sweet). It doesn't really seem to stick around for long either, so you might have to really splash some on if you're into that kind of thing, but for me it works just fine with just a few dabs.

That smell, that beautiful smell of the 60s and 70s
I bought 2 bottles of Jade East cologne from Songo so that I could share the memories of my oldest brother who passed away a few weeks ago, with my surviving siblings. The package was a day late, but still came in time to dispense it in the sample cologne spray containers to give out at his memorial service. My brother wore this fragrance in the late 60s and early 70s. It was a smell we would never forget because it smelt so great. The Jade East I just received is the exact same smell as I remember back then. Everyone really enjoyed their gifts. They can now remember our oldest brother just by the smell of Jade East and the memories we have in our hearts. Thanks Amazon for having this product. And thanks to Regency Cosmetics for continually producing this great smelling cologne that I am now wearing.

Not what I remembered.
I used this cologne during my college days in the mid 60s and was pleased to see that it was still available. My memory was that it had a pleasant fragrance. When this bottle arrived, I was surprised that it wasn't what I thought I remembered. It has somewhat of an alcohol smell. I was very disappointed with it. Guess I'm getting old.

Old School
Stumbled on an add for Jade East in a vintage magazine and looked around to see if was still available and it was! Very popular when I was a young man, I wondered if it was the same formula. Many of the "retro" aftershaves and colognes are only vaguely like the original and a waste of money. I contacted the supplier and he wrote back saying the only change had been to the coloring of the cologne as one dye had been banned. The product was exactly like the one I used 40 years ago and I've been complimented when I've worn it out in the evenings. The cologne isn't a spray but a splash-on and to keep from being too strong, use sparingly and wash hands after applying. Lot of memories and still contemporary. DFW

Jade East
When I first met my good-looking, soon-to-be husband 43 years ago his cologne was Jade East. The fragrance stayed with him all day and in my dreams all night. After a few years we couldn't find it in any stores so he switched fragrances, but his Jade East lingered on my mind. When I did a search for it, and was able to order it, I was delighted and he was surprised. The product is excellent, and (for us at least) a romantic remembrance.

Smells like a fancy BRUT versus back then...
I've only had a few bottles of Jade East under it's second hand of ownership known as Songo.Around very late 90's it was acquired by Regency and aside from the bottle shape being a square and fluid changing from green to yellow the scent never changed until a few years ago along with artwork change.Jade East had a barbershop and spicy quality to it-lilac,talc,lime,and anise. Not the finest cologne ever made but as an inexpensive cologne I liked it alot.Through the reformulation I can't stand it now.mostly lemon and anise and a tiny splash of lilac to make it a little familiar but it just reminds me too much of a better version of brut and that's it A cheap mock up of the original Jade East.People new to this scent may like it but the old formula is a different and better world.
