Excellent cordless vacuum
I ordered this when we brought home two standard poodle puppies, and it's perfect for its intended uses. This is a terrific cordless vacuum. Let me repeat, this is a terrific _cordless_ vacuum. Please be under no delusion that a cordless vacuum in 2020 can possibly have the suction power of a 120V AC plug-in vacuum. Also, all reasonable cordless tools require that you join their battery ecosystem, so don't get crankers when you discover batteries and chargers are expensive. If you've got the proper expectations, this vacuum will meet or exceed them. If you're trying to clean the sludge out of the bottom of a rain catchment barrel, get yourself a plug-in wet/dry shop vacuum; you're in the wrong market here. The three extension pieces give you a full-length wand, but of course you can use merely one or two of them for shorter reach and easier manipulation. The attachments are limited, but sufficient for the reasonable uses of such a device. The canister is spacious, it has a good filter, the battery charge indicator is very convenient, and it's a very reasonable weight, considering it's so easy to put down, pick back up, and move around. I recommend the 6.3 Ah Core batteries over smaller sizes, for decent endurance. I have a lot of the 4 Ah pre-Core batteries, and those run dry in maybe 20-30 minutes. The 6.3 Ah batteries give me a week or two of spot-cleanup usage, which is more than enough. Get yourself the kit with the charger and the two 6.3 Ah Core18V batteries, and be in the discipline of always putting the drained one on the charger when you change batteries. If you're in the market for a vacuum based on a cordless tool ecosystem, you can't do better than this. In the cordless tool world, you've got three tiers: 1) Bosch and Mil****** (red) 2) Everything else except... 3) ...Ry*** (light green) Only buy tier 1. Tier 2 is wasting money on a tool that will die suddenly. Tier 3 is single-use-then-landfill. This is a great member of the Bosch 18V cordless ecosystem. Get the bigger batteries for a vacuum, regardless of which ecosystem you're in.

Just buy it...
UPDATE 2024 Well after 4 years of constant use on small jobsite clean-ups, the old girl has finally lost her suction. I've always used a fully charged 8AH battery with this for extended use, and this vac has served me well. I've disassembled every possible part of the motor multiple times related to the airflow path to make sure there were zero obstructions. I could find none. This vac was used multiple times a week for four years for fine and course dust extraction. Of course I would have preferred it lasted longer, but the cost and convenience of this well powered cordless vac has paid for itself many times. I will be purchasing another. I can't say enough good things about this vacuum. I paired it up with the core 8ah battery and this lasts me for days just doing quick clean ups after working in a customer's house. Great ergos, love the balance of the unit, I can assemble the tubes with a small brush attachment and walk around while using it with ease, or as in the video break it down and do heavier pick up jobs. The hose is of fantastic quality, incredibly flexible rubberized material unlike the lousy plastic hoses that come with most small vacs Cannister detaches easily for quick cleaning. Surprisingly good at retaining finer dust particles considering the price point of most HEPA vacs. I wouldn't compare it to my Festool Midi, but this is a very welcome tool in the back of my van as well. No regrets, now we'll see how long the motor lasts.

Cleans pet hair effectively. No cords for pet to chew.
As the owner of retrievers for many years, I have a new way of thinking about the value of the Bosch cordless vac. I use it because it cleans pet hair very well, it is sturdy for use around large dogs and it is easy to move around when the dogs show an interest in it as their new toy. Most importantly, I can store it in the “pet room” without the worry of the new pup chewing the cord and getting an electrical shock. I feel secure knowing they are safe. I like it so much that I purchased a second Bosh for the upstairs. The powerful suction will keep pet hair where it should be - in the vac and the long life of the battery makes it easy to use without recharging. I love the purchase and will be purchasing more bosh products.

Nice unit
Granted it is not a 110v unit so the suction isn't as powerful, but it worked really good. Drained the battery fairly fast, but I expected that due to the amount of power. Might need a second battery if you are doing a complete really dirty car. My rating is really a 4.5 only because there isn't a separate storage clip for power attachment adapter.

Great product
This is a great product. Very compact and lightweight. No need to wrangle up extension cords or lug around a heavy vacuum. Surprisingly powerful for its size. Perfect for cleaning out vehicles or the shop. My favorite feature is that all attachments and the hose store very neatly and securely on the vacuum. The hose is very high quality, unlike the cheap hoses I’ve seen on other shop vacs. The only thing I can see being a potential issue is that the hose is pretty small in diameter, and could potentially clog easily but for a compact vacuum, I’m not sure how much larger you would want to go anyways. Overall, I’m very satisfied and would highly recommend this product to anyone thinking about buying it.

Fantastic portability
I can’t count the number of times where I have a small mess that takes only a few seconds to vacuum up. In these situations, it can be such a pain to get the full sized shop vac out, lug it over to the mess, plug it in, and then put it away again. This portable vac is so quick and convenient that I find myself using it all the time. It is small and light enough to move around but has a large enough capacity to clean plenty of messes before emptying. Also, the fact that the body is transparent makes it easy to see how much debris has been collected. I really appreciate the bungee cord that keeps the hose in place for storage, it works great. I am a Bosch cordless tool user, so I already have plenty of batteries; a fully charged 4.0ah battery has lasted me about two weeks of regular shirt duration use, so I’d say battery life is very reasonable. The build quality is up to Bosch’s normal standard of excellence, and while it isn’t inexpensive, it is well worth the money.

Best
This thing is incredible. Its hose is top notch, the hepa filter and coupling allow for tool hook up. Batteries last longer, depending on the job, I usually have an 8ah and it cleans longer then I ever use. Great suction, the filter is perfect, cleaning is super manageable.

A must have tool for any contractor
I have tried numerous cordless vacuums from Ridgid, Milwaukee, and Makita, and this unit is by far my favorite. What really sets this one apart from all the others is the weight and compact for factor. It weights almost nothing, and unlike square designs is far less obtrusive in small areas like bathrooms. I find myself using it far more often because it is so much easier to carry and use. Despite this it's a very powerful little vaccum. The Ridgid is probably the most powerful I've had, but this is not too far off, and more importantly the cyclonic design maintains that suction for longer. With the square vacuums the filter gets loaded with dust and debris sooner and needs cleaner about twice as often. The build quality it also excellent. It is basically built like a mini version of Bosch's high end dust extractors. The Ridgid and Milwaukee units are made of cheap plastic, with cheap hoses and fittings. This Bosch uses high end flexible hoses with click to connect fittings and rubber seals. The battery compartment is spring loaded with an actual push button latch. Not some flimsy plastic cover that 3nd up breaking after a few months. Runtime is good, a little better than ridgid or Milwaukee, but not as good as the brushless Makita unit, but that also does not seem as powerful and makita batteries only go up.to 6 ah.

Much better for home DIY projects than a typical home vac
I was surprised by its size (bigger than I expected), but it is powerful....more so than common home vac. The power and design allows for clearing of saw dust and masonry dust, without the worry of damaging the vac. But it does consume power....I will have to get use to how quickly is consumes the power of 2Ah batteries, or will have to purchase 4Ah batteries (expensive)

Product Sucks... Really WELL - but a short battery life
For a portable vacuum (shop-vac style) it's got strong suction and is light enough to move around. I was REALLY impressed with the quality of the hoses. Not impressed with the so/so storage of the tips and extension, which were also of fine quality. The battery life was less than I expected, and I have 6 Ah batteries in there, but expectations should be tailored to its function. It sucks.... a lot LOL. With lots of suction you need lots of power. Power in batteries gets used quickly, so: 1) make sure you have the larger (not largest) battery size I think 6 Ah but another review somewhere says which are too big and 2) make sure you have 2 batteries and the quick charger. Otherwise i'm a happy Bosch user and it's a nice product.

Potente!

The best
I love this vacuum, I lost my first one in a flood, and I purchased a second. Great for cleaning out the car or cleaning jobs. I use it for cleaning a couple of different apartment buildings. Very convenient for salt and leaves. The suction is strong and the battery lasts a reasonable amount, I normally bring two batteries with me for each job I do. Highly recommended.
