Good for anxiety and boredom!
If you have anxiety this is a good fidget toy for you. Sometimes when I am nervous, or even cant sleep, I just fiddle with it and it calms me. It's also a lot of fun. I got my husband one too and he likes playing with it too. thanks!

Mediocre at best
Really mid. Honestly itโs small and just there. Donโt recommend it at all

Great fidget
With three sons on the spectrum I needed a fidget that all would love, and this one does of course a little small so I ordered a couple more in different colors. My one son hurts himself in public, pinching, picking his skin, etc but now he keeps a small section in his pocket and pulls it out when he feels uncomfortable. It can be pulled apart, put together create things with. One stocking stuffer that they love.

A World of Pain
Fun to mess with but beware. Your fingers get beat up whenever you take it apart. My fingers are a sore mess which makes it hard to have fun with this.

"It" gift?
Back when I was little, I got a fidget toy with joints very similar to this one. It was one of those 50 cent machine toys you get in the supermarket. I gave it to my dad, and he loved it. Fifteen years later, I have no idea what happened to that old toy, but I found this online and decided it would be a great blast to the past. I gave it to my dad as soon as it came in and we had a good laugh over it. In short, this is a fun thing to fiddle with, but as another reviewer already pointed out, the joints are not very sturdy. It's not that the toy is falling apart, but the joint positions give way with even small force so that you really can't build anything that will stay put. And yes, building is also an important part of fidgeting. Anyway, my dad and I were able to hold an hour long intellectual conversation while taking turns playing with it; it is fun, but I can't help but wonder how this particular toy managed to become an "it" toy when it is basically a less fun version of an existing style of toy. I do regret not heeding the previous reviewer's advice of going for a cheaper, not as hyped toy, with better construction.

Not terribly impressive
I bought this along with the Tangle Creations fiddle toy (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001EWC5M4) for my 7-year-old son because he loves to fiddle around with stuff. We've had other toys in places like the shower or the couch while he's watching TV, for him to fidget with since he's a pretty active kid. He LOVES the Tangle toy but considers this one to be really boring. Essentially it's just like a silly plastic necklace and the articulated joints don't really lend themselves well to forming shapes that "last". You can crunch or uncrunch it and that's about it. Perhaps someone who likes the texture of the item might appreciate it more, but all of us think it was pretty much a waste of money. It's going to Goodwill this weekend.

Fun to Scrunch
This is a nice fidget toy. My favorite part is scrunching it up as much as possible then pulling it apart. However it doesn't seem to last as long as other fidget toys. It feels a little oily after only a couple weeks of use. The snapping/locking mechanism seems to have worn out in many links. It came with a sort of necklace snap, but that broke after a week or two. It's still a fun fidget toy, just not my nicest one. If you or a friend have a small collection of fidget toys, this would make a neat addition. But if you want something that can handle a lot of handling, this probably isn't it.

Great fidget, easy to take anywhere.
My son uses fidgets in school, to help him stay on task but still allow unobtrusive moements. This toy is perfect for giving his hands something to do while listening to lessons. He can wrap it around his wrist or put it in his pocket and have it available at any time. The pieces snap together easily and move seemlessly. We enjoyed splitting it into several pieces and sharing with his siblings.
