Bjork Maja Wood Open Back Leather Clogs

Fit is great, beautifully made, staples are even , leather looks of very good quality , color rich, lightweight, footbed shaped nicely(not too aggressive, but comfortable and supportive in correct places) comfortable straight out of box. Fit nicely with or without socks. Brought 41 according to company suggestion for size 10. I have a wide, thick foot and short toes. Measure exactly 9 1/2 wide at shoe store. Wear 40 wide in Dansko professional closed back clogs and 40 in Dansko Sonja open back clog. Have a 39 wide in Dansko XP - it is a tad short, but doable once broken in. These are true to size in length per the brand size chart and definitely cut to fit a wider foot. If your foot is more on the narrow width, I think maybe a size down from chart suggestion. I ordered Vollsjo, they looked very nice and were fairly inexpensive, but ran too narrow for me in size 40 and hurt to walk in. I was afraid they’d hurt even in larger size so returned. Company was excellent to deal with. These look the best of any I’ve ordered, not clunky or heavy at all, and look good on my foot. Very pleased with quality and price.! Definitely ordering more colors. I am hard to fit, teach middle school all day standing constantly. These are highly recommended!

Great clogs. I have a foot that’s more normal to wide and was concerned with the width since I’ve never worn them before. I read the reviews and they said if in between sizes to size down (smaller). Well that’s absolutely true. This clog fits beautifully and exactly as stated. I sized up lol, to be safe and not have to return them, and am perfectly fine with the little extra room length wise. These clogs are very roomy. They actually have room for a thin insole since we all know they’re wood lol. Perfect!! I love them and all the colors they come in. I bought red polka dots and brown. I’m gonna get more colors!!

These clogs are great, wide and comfy. Pair in brown: five stars. Additional review: I ordered a second pair (this time in red) but I received a different product. The brown Maja Bjork clogs (made in Poland) are beautifully shaped, wide enough, good craftsmanship, the label under the heel is made of leather. I was so happy with them, that I immediately ordered another pair but in red. The red pair is narrower and differently shaped, not as comfy and well done as the brown pair. See my pics. The red pair has a plastic sticker on the heel (not a leather label) that says made in Europe (no specification of the country). However, it seems like these were manufactured by a different manufacturer than the brown model or a differently shaped mold was used to make the leather top. The instep part of the red clogs is higher and straight, whereas the brown ones have a nice, curve shaped instep. This is not cool, as it is supposed to be exactly the same model, ordered from the same company, just different color. So, the Maja Bjork red clogs that arrived do not match the photo of the advertised model. One of the red clogs also had a misshaped, wrinkled tip (toe area) that is very obvious. I have to return the red pair. I wish there was a way to make sure that when I order these clogs, I get the same model featured on the photograph, because I would love to get the red clogs as advertised (that particular shape/design with the leather heel sticker, made in Poland). High quality, super comfortable clogs. Sized just right. Just like my first pair purchased in the 1970s. So happy with this purchase. Worth every penny of the price .

AHH these clogs are so nice. You can tell that they're made with care. The staples are well lined up, which is often not the case with more expensive clogs. The leather is supple and the wood is 'finished' which is nice. I will admit, they don't have quite the same orthopedic feel as my Bjork Mary Jane clogs that are made in Sweden (these are made in Europe, which is still great). My ankles are pronated, and I feel the other pair (mary janes) may actually turn my ankles out and correct my spinal posture a little more. These do have more of a rocker feel, however. Both pairs (these and the Bjork Mary Janes) fit large - I think clogs are generally supposed to slip a bit - but these are truly wide.. I feel like I could accidentally kick them off! You can see in the photos that even with socks, there's a gap. I'm a standard 8.5 or 39.. maybe somewhere between 8 and 8.5 (in shoes that run very true to size; Uugs, for example..) Anyway, the length is tts. I gave 5 stars because the craftsmanship is better than some more expensive clogs.. and they are beautiful for those who need wide clogs, which can be hard to find. Could I live with them? Sure, but at the same time, I don't want to accidentally kick a clog at someone.. so I will probably return!

They last for over 25 years! I’m a retired nurse and loved the clogs!

So I ordered two clogs to try: these and the Lotta from Stockholm. Unfortunately, these will be returned. I loved these shoes out of the box because the styling is very cute and retro. They remind me of clogs I wore in grade school in the 70s. However, the shoes are very loose and clunky. The sole is very slippery on my foot, making my feet slide around in the shoe and making it very hard to walk. I feel like I could kick a shoe off while stepping and be unintentionally tossing a block of wood across the room! Because of the looseness, walking in them is extremely loud. They are just made very wide so maybe if you have a wide foot this won't be a problem for you! I am a true size 9 so I ordered a 40. They are a smidge too long for barefoot but okay with thick socks. Cute shoes, but didn't work for my standard size 9 feet. The Lotta from Stockholm are amazing, though!!

These felt like an amazing find at first, and wearing them does give me relief from foot pain after a connective tissue injury. The soles are shaped perfectly for arch support and toe splay (although it may be smart to wear them for short periods of time initially till you get used to walking in them). Several crucial things wrong with them though - first, the plastic/rubber outsole is so hard that it makes walking across anything but carpet a staccato announcement of your presence. That same outsole is also great at picking up minute pieces of gravel, dirt, twigs, etc. and is extremely difficult to clean. I eventually replaced the outsole (carefully tore it off with a vice grips) with a true rubber sole and the shoes were much quieter. I also added a thin pigskin insole (peeled off the leather heel cushion, placed the pigskin, and replaced the heel cushion in its original location) so that my feet don't slide around in the shoe so much. Unfortunately these measures only solved some of the problems with these shoes. The wood chips very easily (as you can see in other reviews, too - the grain should run horizontally rather than vertically, as it does), and the leather (is it? isn't it??) cracks unnaturally around the edges. All this after only wearing the shoes for about 4 hrs/week during the cold months of the past year. PROS: comfortable, alleviates foot pain, supports foot properly CONS: wood chips, footbed is slippery, outsoles are LOUD, pick up dirt, and are hard to clean, and the leather (if it is leather) cracks prematurely. They've been comfortable enough that I'm sold on wooden clogs, but I'll be looking elsewhere for my next pair.

J'ai commandé les sabots rouge et je les aime bien. Je n'irais pas prendre une marche avec, mais parfait pour une sortie. Cependant j'ai dû retourner la première paire car ils sont fait grand. Prenez une pointure sous votre norme.
