Golden Fox Work Boots Men's 6" Plain Toe Wedge Boot for Construction, Lightweight Comfortable Outsole

BLUF: Excellent boots for work and casual outings. I bought my most recent pair back in January 2026. I work in construction and with clients on the sales side regularly. These shoes are a nice in-between for jobsites and presentations. I even wear these outside of work. I attached all three pairs. I still use the older pairs as well. My newest pair is mainly used for office/presentation work while my older pairs are used for jobsites. PROS: 1. Great quality - these shoes hold up really well. I wear them every day and all day. My oldest pair (4 years old) has finally lost arch support after a large amount of wear and tear, but everything else has held up well. The soles have never been replaced, even on the oldest pair. I put around 10k-15k steps on them daily. Both on construction sites and in office space. 2. Weatherproof - I have worn these shoes on wet and rainy days out in muddy jobsites. Never have any issues with wet socks or shoe issues. 3. Arch support - general comfort is much better than most. It's mainly why I kept these over other brands. That being said, eventually wear and tear will take a toll on the arches. I recommend personal arch support if you do hold onto your pairs for as long as I have. 4. Protection - these shoes have stopped tacs and nails multiple times throughout the years. Can't ask for much more! 5. Aesthetics - I personally really like the look of these shoes. I wear them when I go out. That's why I have a "nice" pair and "work" pairs. Once my nice pair wears out, I'll get a new set and turn the old set into exclusively working boots. CONS: 1. Shoe laces - The standard shoe laces are fine, but they'll be the first thing to wear on you. 2. Traction - the treads on the bottom will wear over time. These aren't the best on slick surfaces compared to other options. That being said, most shoes won't hold up well to oily or watery surfaces. I mainly like the thickness of the soles for added protection. Overall, I love the boots. I've worn them almost every day for over 5 years at this point. Highly recommend for people who want a nice, affordable pair of boots whether its for casual outings, work-related tasks, or for general DIY/yard work.

Wow I'm actually amazed with these boots. This is my second pair of boots from Golden fox. The first ones were the heritage style boots, the boondockers I think? Those were nice. But these are more rugged. I've been wearing them every day to work. I'm a carpenter and these are holding up great. Light weight and comfortable and the price is great. I'm really really impressed with these boots. I'm 100% going to keep purchasing boots from them. I can't say it enough, GREAT BOOTS.

Wanted a boot with a Goodyear welt, the leather is not thick relative to my 80's vintage Herman Survivors but that is weight and $. The inside is not leather lined, maybe cooler and lighter. No speed laces but for this height of boot I don't need them. This is the first boot I've ever had with the softer wedge sole. Many people swear by the design so there must be something to the comfort and reduced tracking of mud. The fit is good. I am a 10.5-11 medium so I bought the 10.5 as people suggested they ran big. Getting some heel lift until they are broken in and some rubbing at the top but I expect that is going to take some break in. The real proof is what they are doing 2 years from now. Tired of these sneaker boots with glued on soles. $200 Asolo's with beautiful uppers the soft part of the sole and hard bottoms disbonded. Same with a pair of newer Merrels. My old 'real' Merrel Goretex Light Hikers from 1982 are still functional (sewn on welt) as are my 16 year old work Redwings and 1984 Herman Survivors.

I can't believe how well these have held up... We purchased them in February 2020 and my husband has worn these boots 4x per week (but less in the summer and to his office job, tbf). They are now - after 6 years!!! - showing wear in the sole but I hope that we can repair them to keep them going. The leather still looks good! They are not super warm in the winter but they protect against the elements well. Overall I'm super impressed! We will keep coming back to Golden Fox because they are a reasonable price for great shoes. If only they made women's shoes too...

Bought these after seeing Rose Anvil’s review about the moc toe version of these boots on YouTube. Love the comfort out of the box (the roomy toe-box is especially great). They are my first pair of GYW boots and I’ve been wearing them 10+ hours a day for the last few weeks (occasionally in wet conditions); they look good as new with just a little brushing. Yet to see how they hold up in the long run but if they make it over a year, I’m a happy man. They run a bit large, so buy at least 1 or 1/2 size down from your typical sneaker size.

I ordered a size 9 at first that was a mistake because most of my shoes are a ten the customer service was excellent I was able to call them speak to a person send them back and they sent me another pair at 9 1/2 and they fit perfectly if most of your shoes are a size 10 get a nine 9.5 or a 10. Love the color. Love the texture of the leather and they seem very sturdy. Not to mention these things are comfortable. The souls are nice and soft I thought the sides were a little hard at first but after stomping around in them for about 12 hours at work today they softened up a little bit and I think they're going to be better than most For long term durability. So far im very satisfied with golden foxes product.

Ordered my usual size 11, a bit big but close enough. Think there great!
