🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Reliable, High-Quality PLA – My Go-To Filament!
I've tried a lot of different PLA brands, and SUNLU consistently delivers the best results. The filament is well-packaged, neatly wound, and the diameter is extremely consistent — no tangles, no clogs, and no unexpected surprises. Print quality is excellent straight out of the box. It has great layer adhesion, minimal stringing, and produces smooth, clean finishes even on detailed prints. I especially appreciate how reliable it is across long print jobs — perfect for both functional and decorative parts. The color is vibrant, the material prints beautifully, and for the price, it’s hard to beat. I’ve had zero print failures with SUNLU PLA, which saves time, money, and frustration. If you’re looking for affordable, high-performance PLA you can rely on — this is it. Highly recommend for both beginners and experienced makers!

Reliable filament
I’ve ordered and used multiple spools of filmaent from SUNLU and it has quickly become one of my go to filaments. The print quality is consistently excellent, always has smooth layers, strong adhesion, and I have noticed it has an improved strength compared to standard PLA. The filament is very consistent, I have experienced no clogs and no surprises. It feeds smoothly through the printer and prints cleanly even on longer jobs. Tthe results look great right off the build plate. Another big plus is how easy it is to work with. It prints at typical PLA temperatures, has minimal warping, and doesn’t require a heated enclosure. Bed adhesion is solid, and the finished prints have a nice surface finish with strong layer bonding. The spool is neatly wound, vacuum sealed, and arrives dry no tangles, no headaches. For the price, the quality is hard to beat. I really like this shade of pink as it isn't too bold, it's a nice subtle pink which is great for Easter decorations.

sunlu is perfect for AMS on bambu
I’ve been using SUNLU PLA filament for a while now, and I’m really impressed with its consistency and performance. The filament comes well-spooled with minimal tangles, and it feeds perfectly through my printer every time. It prints smoothly, with excellent layer adhesion, and very little stringing or warping compared to other PLA brands I’ve tried. The finish on prints is clean and slightly glossy, which makes models and decorative pieces look professional. I’ve printed both detailed models and larger pieces, and it handles both equally well. Dimensional accuracy is reliable, so parts fit together as expected without post-processing adjustments. Another big plus is how easy PLA is to work with, and SUNLU’s quality makes it even better—strong enough for functional parts, but still easy to sand and paint if needed. Overall, SUNLU PLA is a top-notch filament that combines ease of use, excellent print quality, and reliable consistency. Definitely one I’ll keep stocked.

A good general purpose filament.
Why did you choose this product over others?: I have tried many different brands of filament and this one has not yet let me down, I have not yet had a failed print with Sunlu PLA Plus. It adheres to the bed well but not too well, it is neatly wound on the spool. The prints are accurate with little or no warping. The colour range is good and vibrant apart from the green which is a little insipid. What can I say, it ticks all the boxes. It isn't the cheapest filament but buying cheap doesn't often get you the best results. EDIT :- 28th June 2025. There has been one blemish on Sunlu's perfect record, one roll of filament was too thin and didn't feed properly. The filament is supposed to be 1.75mm but when I checked it this spool varied between 1.33 and 0.9mm. I sent it back. This was not a big problem because the fault was obvious and Amazon are good at returns if there is a problem. I am still going to use Sunlu PLA+ filament because almost all of the spools are good.

Great Filament with Minor Quirks
The SUNLU PLA Plus 3D Printer Filament is a solid choice for FDM 3D printing, offering excellent value and reliable performance. The filament prints beautifully, producing strong, smooth, and consistent results with minimal warping. It's especially great for beginners and experienced users alike, as it’s easy to work with and doesn’t require a lot of tweaking to get good prints. One standout feature is the filament’s strength—it feels sturdier than standard PLA, making it ideal for projects requiring a bit more durability. The consistent diameter (1.75mm) ensures smooth feeding, and it works well with a variety of 3D printers. However, the reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it can be slightly sensitive to humidity. If not stored properly, it tends to absorb moisture, which can lead to stringing or rougher finishes. A filament dryer or good storage practices solve this issue, but it’s something to be aware of. Overall, this is a fantastic filament for everyday use and even more demanding projects. It’s affordable, versatile, and delivers excellent results when handled with care. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality PLA+!

Great filament.
So I ordered this to try it out. I have a Flashforge Adventurer 3 and I typically stick to their own brand of PLA, mostly because the built in spool holder only takes 500g spools and because I can be pretty sure their own filament will work well. Boy was I wrong. Before this spool arrived I printed off a couple of Tush rollers to hold the spool externally because as me ruined above, these spools are too big for the Adventurer 3. The spool worked just fine on a pair of Tush rollers. No resistance all good. I then ran a print using an old job stored on the printer. I have a little bunny rabbit print that I use as a benchmark, mostly because my youngest likes to get a new bunny rabbit when Daddy gets some new PLA but also because the model is tough enough to print that it challenges the printer but easy enough that I won't get stuck in an infinite loop of troubleshooting that doesn't matter because I never print anything that is insanely complicated or at the limits of 3D printing. I intentionally spend time making sure anything I print is oriented in a way that makes it easier or I modify it to make it less challenging. Anyway, on to the PLA+...first print was perfect and I didn't have to adjust anything. Print settings were 0.18mm layers, cooling off first layer, 60c bed (glass bed, I have the Pro model) and 220c nozzle. No raft. No brim. I got a clean print, no stringing, perfect adhesion and no warping or layer issues. The final result was a sort of matte finish with a small amount of sheen. I've printed with black PLA before and you typically get that shiny black drainpipe look but with this stuff, it's quite tasteful. It's not as flat as you'd expect though, definitely shiny but not overly shiny. Your prints won't look cheap. The stand out here though is the very low amount of stringing. It's virtually none existent. There is a tiny bit of really fine stringing but it's very easy to deal with after the print. Absolutely nowhere near the amount of stringing I usually see. I think this brand might be my go to from now on. Good stuff. In terms of toughness Vs standard PLA...my lad hasn't snapped the ears off his bunny yet, which he usually manages within a few minutes. So I'm guessing this stuff is a lot tougher than Flashforge PLA. I've since run off some other prints that I know to be quite weak with Flashforge PLA and so far they have proven to be a bit stiffer and less fragile. I'd place this stuff somewhere between standard PLA and ABS. If you're looking at this stuff and you're like me and wondering if straying from your usual stuff is worth it, the answer is probably yes. At this stage I don't know how well the roll will keep, some other rolls from other brands have got brittle on me after a while, which is another reason I typically didn't buy bigger spools.
