Great product.
Excellent product. The indirect measurement feature is very useful in my work. It paid for itself in one day of surveying. The camera feature is also useful.

Excellent device with some amazing features.
Exactly what I needed. Originally bought the X310 but I needed bluetooth so I swapped to the D510 (thanks Amazon). This product is fantastic and works extremely well. It is easy to use for normal functions and very accurate. I haven't used any of the advanced functions that it is capable of but I am sure it will perform those well too. The added bonus is that thanks to the built in camera this model can be used outside in any weather. The X310 and all similar models don't work as you can't see the laser dot. This model shows an image of what your are aiming at on the colour screen so you can easily measure outside. The only negatives are that compared to the D210 and X310 it is a little slower to start up and take measurements plus it is expensive. I feel there should be a model that has bluetooth between the very basic D110 and this model.

Stunning accuracy, touch screen would be better.
At first sight this is a well made device. It was easy to begin to get accurate measurements. I did find that the Instruction booklet was not very good and not much help. The info key on the device is much better. The ‘calibration’ icon is rather a puzzle however, there is no guidance as to what this is supposed to do. While exploring the more complex functions, I can say that there is a need to use a stable support ( no surprise there then !) to get accurate results. I have to say that the device accuracy is stunning indeed. But the quality of the scope image left me slightly disappointed, the cross-hair is ok but as my image shows, the laser point was not in the centre (up and right a bit). I can say that the measurements I took did seem to be accurate and the device is quite pleasing to use. My biggest problem was using it in poor light, I found I could not see the keys against the illumination of the screen, many manufacturers seem to think it a good practice to make keyboards out of black material on a black background ! ... black on black is not acceptable in dim light almost to the point of the device not being usable. For me, that is the case and I have returned the device, I am sure that the D810 with a touch screen would be a better choice if the user works in poor light

Superb
Great piece of kit. I replaced a smaller Disto with this after 5 years of reliable service (its still working). Now I have this hooked upto to a Sony Ultra and do all my survey drawings the easy way. Well worth the money- even her indoors agrees :)

WORKS EVEN IN SUNLIGHT Leica Disto
Great piece of kit, can measure angles, sight lines to junctions and even distance to the golf flag. The camera plus magnification is great. Software still to try.

Looks good, but faulty on receipt
I needed a laser measure for DIY building project and general purpose use- wanted a reliable device with good features, the Leica was way above my budget but it had the features so thought I'd invest as a long term investment. Out of the box the top RHS button didn't click like the others and was very sensitive- seems like it's partially stuck in. The device features are good although the apps are very basic- I even purchased AutoCAD mobile to try to integration but "basic" is an understatement. It can only draw new lines, not as I hoped click on a line and set it to the right length. Leica has a new "plan" app which is subscription, really at this price point and given the basic "sketch" app it should be included and more featured. Having spent a lot of money on the device I don't want to have to pay subscriptions when I take it out to use it! For some I'm sure it's the ideal device, but for me the poor quality (I can't see how the fault my unit had got by any form of basic QC) and the basic app support (a lot of what I'm paying for) I can't justify the price.

Outstanding but I wish I had spent more money and bought the Leica S910
It's a really good product and the use of the inbuilt camera overcomes the problem of not being able to see the laser dot in bright daylight and/or over long distances. I also like the software which allows the D510 to communicate with say an iPad and produce a PDF drawing. This would be even better if the output was DXF as the drawing would then import directly into AutoCAD (although AutoCAD 2017 does now import PDF files). Overall, I wished I had spent more money and purchased the S910 complete with tripod and head attachment as it allows direct input from Disto to AutoCAD.

Somewhat disappointed
The instrument is fine and does exactly what I wanted. The only disappointment was the website states the product ships with rechargeable LFP batteries but those supplied with mine are marked "do not recharge" and had insufficient charge to run the device for more than 30 seconds. For something with RRP £500+, one would hope the first thing you have to do is not to go and order new batteries.

R&A Rost aufgesucht, damaliges Vermessungsspezialgeschäft. Also erstmal nichts.
