Kisslock Frame Bag 16

The bag arrived yesterday (in black), so I tried it out today. I was pleased to see that, despite the marketing shot used by Amazon showing the older version without a removable leather strap, the strap on the bag I received is removable. I was also pleasantly surprised that the interior is leather instead of having a textile lining. I’ll likely use the chain strap more often because I prefer a crossbody bag, but I’ll put the leather strap back on when I use it as an evening bag. The chain strap is thin, so it digs into my shoulder and is not very comfortable, even though I carry very little and keep the bag light (just an iPhone, card holder, car keys, and lip balm). I’m 5’2”, so the chain is a bit too long for me. The bag falls awkwardly below my hip when I wear it crossbody, so I knotted the chain strap temporarily to shorten it. The quality and construction of the bag are very good for the price point. The leather is smooth so I’ve already scratched it once because I keep my natural nails fairly long, but it’s durable and substantial and keeps its shape. At this price point, solid brass hardware is not a realistic expectation, and the gold tone metal used is a bit flimsy, but that helps keep the bag lightweight. The metal on the frame and kisslock is fine, but the chain strap feels especially flimsy, so I’ll likely switch it out for a nicer one at some point. The bag is fairly versatile if you like carrying a smaller bag - with a simple strap change or by removing the strap altogether to carry it like a clutch, it transitions well from day to evening. It’s small but large enough to carry essentials. The wider base gives it a larger capacity than one would expect. As noted in other reviews, it comes with a dust bag but no box. The lack of a Coach branded box is fine with me because I would just throw it away and prefer less packaging/waste. (Storing a leather bag in a box is not ideal. Use the dust bag instead.) The bag has no visible branding except the tags, which I removed promptly and keep stored in the interior zip pocket for safekeeping. I prefer it without any visible branding or heat stamps, but it’s a popular bag so it’s easily recognizable as the Coach Kisslock, anyway. I chose the black color because I think that suits the vintage style of the bag best, but I’m hoping Coach will offer this bag in a burgundy or dark cherry. It would be worth buying a second one in that case. It’s a very cute bag. I’m planning a 1950s-themed dinner/cocktail party (yes, with various recipes using Jello, lol), and this bag will be perfect for that.

I ordered this bag in the Maple color, which is a beautiful chocolate brown color, and I don't normally go for brown bags. The hardware is brass, and it comes with a short removable strap and a longer removable strap that can crossbody. The interior is lined in the same leather as the outside, so the bag feels vert sturdy. The bag feels smooth but strong, and has a more matte finish. On the inside, there is a small zip pocket. I would consider this bag able to be worn both in casual and in formal settings. Aside from using the straps, you could also use this as a clutch. As this is a medium dark brown, I think you could wear this with many colors, as it is a great neutral. I was able to fit my most important small essentials, and the bag still felt good to carry and not too heavy. Overall I would recommend this bag to anyone looking for a good sized unique bag that can be used for many occasions. For the price, I think it is a pretty great value, as the leather and construction is high quality, which I would expect from this brand.

I absolutely love this bag. It is even more beautiful in person and the sparkle is unreal. It catches the light in the most stunning way, especially when the sun hits it in the car, it literally glows, so STUNNING. I’ve gotten an insane amount of compliments on it, but when I wore it to a wedding, it was on another level. I am not exaggerating when I say every single woman came up to compliment my bag… including the bride 😂 One woman even took pictures of it because she absolutely needed it and was determined to hunt it down for herself. The quality is gorgeous and it feels very luxe. The signature jacquard is woven from a sustainable blend of recycled polyester and organic regenerative cotton, and then crystal embellished, which makes it feel extra special. I know some people don’t like the idea of paying that much for something made with polyester but I’m telling you it has a soft feel. The inside lining is completely glove tanned leather and it is beautiful. It differs from the Crystal Candy on the leather color too, it’s the burnished amber where the candy one in a more light tan color btw. It also has a zip pocket and a card slot inside, which I really appreciate because it keeps things organized and secure without needing a full wallet. I prefer a wallet though, as you can see in the video. It also has the little authenticity engraving from Coach inside with the serial number. It fits quite a bit if you pack it right. I was able to fit in my sunnies, my wallet, my large hair clip, lip plumper, liquid lip, lip balm, lip liner, eyebrow pencil, anointing oil, mascara, setting spray, a 1.3oz perfume, eye drops, & my iPhone 17 pro max! It arrived perfectly packaged and very well protected. All of the crystals were intact when I unpacked it, none missing, none loose, and no damage at all. I know people worry about authenticity when ordering luxury- semi luxury items online, but when you buy through the Amazon Coach store, it IS authentic. I’ve purchased five Coach bags and a wallet through Coach on Amazon so far and I haven’t been disappointed yet. I’ve seen reviews where people mention receiving obvious returns, but that has not been my experience at all. The only minor downside for me is that it can’t comfortably fit a charm. I’ve seen TikToks of people making it work so it is possible. You can tuck the handles inside, go without the crossbody chain but I think if you carry it buy the handle and drape the crossbody chain around it a certain way it looks so beautiful. I know some people even cut off the leather handle since it isn’t removable, but I personally love the leather handle and that’s actually how I carried it most of the night at the wedding. Another small thing to note is that the clasp already has a scratch on each ball from opening and closing it, but I honestly don’t mind. It closes very securely, so I know my bag won’t accidentally pop open, and the scratches aren’t visible when you’re wearing it anyway. You’ll also notice the little Coach engraving around the balls of the kisslock clasp on each side, which is such a nice detail. Overall, this bag is stunning, high quality, and a true statement piece. I give it five stars and I highly recommend grabbing it whenever it’s in stock, it’s absolutely worth it.

This is so demure & chic. The smooth soft leather just feels fancy. It also fits quite a bit actually! Hope coach makes a medium size that would be perfect

I absolutely love this bag, and I'm so glad I got it. The size is perfect for a card case, keys, Kleenex, phone. The leather is gorgeous, and I love the simple hardware. My ONLY complaint (which honestly is a good enough reason to return it, but I won't) is that the latch of the chain shoulder strap just randomly detaches itself from the bag. I can't figure out how this is happening--it even happens when the bag is sitting on a surface and the shoulder strap isn't in use. The latch mechanism looks normal and appears to function normally. (My secret hope is that I got a haunted Coach bag, and that, once this information gets out, a bidding war will erupt to win my polter-purse. But I will never sell her, even when people offer me millions.) Srsly, though, this weird chain situation makes me think it's not safe to wear this as a shoulder bag. The leather purse strap has not spontaneously detached itself, thankfully. I love the sophisticated look of the leather, the classic yet petite silhouette, and playful/prim vibe. This might turn out to be one of my fave bag purchases ever (even if it IS haunted)!
