It's a proper metal detector!!!
Bought this motion detector for my 6 yr old to use on the beach (dry sand). Not been to the beach yet but I have done some tests and it works great. The handle would have been better if rubberised, but I have sorted that by putting some rubber grip on it from an old paint roller. It's lightweight so it's suitable for kids, the handle extends, so is suitable for adults too, will fit in a ruck sack. You will defintely find stuff on the beach with this detector, unlike some of the toy detectors out there. From the tests that I have done, you will find a coin at about 5" maximum, and that is pretty ok.

Gutes Gerät für kleine Schatzsucher
Habe einen Metalldetektor für unsere kleinen Schatzjäger gesucht und hatte aufgrund des Preises auch keine großen Erwartungen. Es sollte halt ein Spielzeug mit Spassfaktor sein... Das Gerät entsprach exakt der Beschreibung und übertaf meine Erwartung sogar um ein Vielfaches. Kleinste Matallstücke wurden genau angezeigt und nach kurzer Zeit hatten die Jungs viele Schätze gehoben. Das Gerät ist stabil, leicht zu bedienen und nur zu empfehen...

Doet het redelijk! Alleen niet zo stevig.
Leuk om met kinderen te doen en een heleboel prulletjes gevonden. De stevigheid is alleen een stuk minder, de schroefknop waarmee het uitschuifbare gedeelte vast gezet moet worden is van plastic en hier zat dan ook heel snel een barst in. Ook het klepje van de batterijen klikt niet stevig vast.

Bounty Hunter BHJS-PL Junior Metal Detector After extensive research comparing this to many products online I purchased it for my eldest son's 10th birthday. Hand's down, This is the best metal dector online under $300 for any age. This product was extremely light weight, easy to manuever and simple to operate. The whole family ejoys using it. My three year oldtwins had no problems using this product thanks to the adjustable length. However, they enjoy digging in the dirt to find the 'treasure' more than they do dectecting 'treasures' at this point. If, or when, any of my younger three sons (ages 8 years & 3 year old twins) show interest in this hobby without hestitation, I will gladly repurchase this exact product for them as well. Even my teenaged niece (15 years) and my mother (age withheld) were eager to give it a try and had a lot of fun operating it during one of our family afternoon strools. At this point I have not found even the slightest fault with this purchase. DON'T HESITATE ANY LONGER, JUST PURCHASE THIS ITEM NOW AND ENJOY!
