I am very emotional as I write this review. Charlie and the other representative worked with me for a very long time and were so patient. The first unit did not work. We went through everything. They were absolutely amazing. Their help was personalized, kind, friendly, everything you could hope for. It was determined the unit should be switched for another one. It was perfect. After finishing all of my testing, only a few days passed, and then today arrived… I rushed home as fast as I could and because of their customer service and truly, truly caring, and sticking with me, my cats are alive. If they had given up on me, my babies would be gone. One has very long fur and special health needs. He has to be cool. Please see the photo attached. This is inside of an RV sitting on a concrete slab in the Texas sun. Outside it was 97°. Thank you, thank you. And my Libby and Jackson are alright. Two lives were saved.

I have had this device for several years now to monitor a cottage in Michigan. It has performed perfectly keeping track of temperature, humidity, and power. I can connect from anywhere and often check the monitor on my iPhone. Because it uses cell service, there is an annual fee, which I find is well worth it. The monitor itself has always lasted longer than any power outages - I had one for nearly 24 hours and the marcell pro was still reporting status. Plus, when the power comes back on, the marcel monitor recharges. My old monitor would wipe out the batteries in a few hours with no one around to replace them. Use of cell service makes this monitor independent of internet service, which often goes out especially when there are power outages. The unit also keeps histories, which is good for spotting trends and comparing what is normal or not-normal. Lastly, active monitoring helps with insurance companies, especially because you will know to call in help to quickly to fix problems before they grow into serious damage.

We have been using the Marcell for our ten day trip with pets. It has been accurate for temperature, sends alert promptly when out of range for temperature. It operated on a battery for over 24 hours successfully. The cons include 1) it must be plugged in to electric to initially operate, even with a full battery. Unhandy when you need to monitor car temp and unit is off. 2) when an alert is sent, ie: “temp out of range”, you do not get a corresponding text saying temperature returned within normal range. I don’t want to waste an instant update to check the status. Not completely satisfied nor dissatisfied enough to return it but not what I thought. In today’s world, technology here is lacking.

Solid product for independent monitoring of power status, temp extremes, and moisture. Battery backup and 3G connection ensures alerts regardless of network or power status. Easy and flexible setup. Already paid for itself by alerting a power outage that would have destroyed the contents of our deep freeze.

This unit was very easy to set up and is now monitoring SOR Pelican our 36’ sailboat. Knowing that I will get an alert when the cabin reaches 40 F gives us plenty of time to get to the marina and take action before things begin to freeze is really nice. Be sure to check coverage maps for Verizon or AT&T before you purchase.

Very poor temperature accuracy. This device alerted us multiple times a day for an out of range temperature of 80+ degrees. This caused us to lose many hours of work as we’d have to interrupt our day to make sure our dog was safe and our RV wasn’t overheating. We keep our thermostat at 70 constantly and our device was located in the center of our rv in an island, next to no windows or vents. Poor system designed to instill useless fear. Very very disappointed and even more disappointed in their customer service as they would not refund it but instead urged me to try reselling...zero out of 5!

The MarCELL is a great buy if you need to monitor property from anywhere. I have had one false alarm ever, but I'd rather have a false one now and again than none ever. I have a house in New England I need to keep an eye on from Florida in the winter, and this does a great job of that. On the downside the web interface is pretty old school and kinda kludge-y compared to what most of us are used to in 2019, but that's nitpicking - It does what it is supposed to do reliably and once you have set it up, you are good to go.
