Q: Can you purchase just the ato/ato socket connector (in quantity) ? price?

Not that I know of. They are very useful for checking circuits.

Q: Does it replace a fuse, or do you use it in a blank slot? Also does it have a "fuse" link inside it?

I use just for testing voltages, and current draw. That plug/package makes it very easy to hook up instruments and evaluate conditions of the circuit. There are no fuse able links inside. Just straight through connections to a 1/4" spade pin on the other side.. "Handy" and better than anything else.

Q: Do you unplug the negative battery cable or leave the battery hooked up when testing the circuit?

You can leave the battery connected, most fuses don't have power to them with the key off anyways.
