Awesome house tool.
Personally I think this is a must-have for every homeowner now that I have it. I ordered it for my son for working on his truck, but immediately found a different use for it: Finding mice. We had some deer mice sneak in this winter, and we were live-trapping them rather successfully and my animal-lover daughter was putting them in a terrarium cage. We knew we had another one running around but couldn't get it, and I do not not not like mice loose in the house, they can cause too much damage. Anyway I was able to take this and put it behind cabinets, under and behind my stove, and under a bakers rack in my kitchen and least verify there were no nests there, at least not in those specific spots. So I took it into our basement and found spots where I could slide this tiny camera in between cement block walls near the ceiling and wallah, I found chewing on pink board and little pink shreds, now I at least knew where to trap. This area in the basement is right under my kitchen and near the sweaty water pump, dark and quiet, perfect place for a mouse to set up home so it makes sense, but without seeing those pink shreds I'd have still been clueless. And yes I set up our no-kill trap there and yes I caught it. ๐ This borescope literally worked right out of the box, it could not have been easier. It doesn't need an app TG, or a phone. It is rechargeable with an included C cord. Everything you need is here, it is completely self-contained. The five-foot cord is flexible enough to flow around things but does have some rigidity too, though at one point I wanted to control it more so used wire ties to hold it to a thin dow rod and that worked somewhat. And wow could I see all the dust bunnies and dead bugs ๐ฌ and little things hiding where the light doesn't normally shine. The picture is actually really great lol. If you want a super simple borescope that could not be easier to use for a great price then this is it. It's on sale for $40 as I type which is such an amazing price, I think I'm going to pick up another one as a gift for my son so I can keep this one in the house, I've already used it to find a small Moissanite stud earring that I accidentally dropped and that somehow bounced under the fridge, and in just exploring with it I found missing socks under the couch and my daughter's favorite mechanical pencil under the recliner. It's a very helpful tool.

Works great and is a great value!
Overall, this thing functions beautifully! I have used this a few times. Once to help find and retrieve a small screwdriver that I dropped in my engine compartment (I was successful!) 4 times to check out some plumbing. Only one was unsuccessful but I'm pretty it was due to the sinks design. I couldn't get it to fit in the drain. And various other dropped something behind or in the couch and other random places in my house which were mostly successful (I couldn't find stuff in a few places but it just may not have been where I looked. The screen is pretty crisp and clear for the few inches or so you're looking from the camera. If you try to see the room you're in, the further away something is, the blurrier it will get. It's not a camcorder though so it's working as intended. Mine came with an initial charge so I was able to use it out of the box and basic usage is very easy. I have other borescopes that work off my phone. Most have a USB wire to connect and one is wireless. The wireless one has connectivity issues and the wired ones don't but it can be awkward to use and I've dropped my phone more than once. This one has a built in monitor so: I don't have to worry about dropping my phone and this is WAY more comfortable. Because it's attached there are no connectivity issues and no setup. Just turn it on and go to work. The design is also nice. It's comfortable to hold and use and seems to be decently solid. I haven't performed a drop test and won't fo one on purpose, but it seems like it would survive multiple drops. Most of the other borescopes I have cost a lot more than this one. I do have a phone one that was around $40 at the time but it was shorter at around 3 feet long. So this is a much better value. The only thing I would like if possible is if the wire could be attached and there were even longer ones that could be swapped out. Final conclusion: Great value, great usage, and very comfortable. I definitely recommend this!
