Review: Affordable quality - I purchased quite a few of these for my soldering stations. I took a chance on them and I'm glad I did. The price is affordable and the quality is quite good. So far they have worked every bit as well as the big three-letter name brand without the gigantic price tag. Providing quality control remains consistent in the future, these are one of the best deals going. My only criticism is I wish they offered some other tip profiles. Why no C245-944 tips? Otherwise these things are great! Review: Great C245 cartridges - VECO-T is on to something with these cartridges. Are they JBC? No. Do they work as well? Yes, in my experience they do, at 1/3rd the cost or less. They may not last as long as genuine JBC cartridges, but you can buy 3 or 4 of these for the same price as a single JBC. For the hobbyist / home gamer, this represents a considerable savings should you wish to expand your cartridge library. I've compared the C245-D22, J02 and K cartridges to genuine JBC equivalents using an Aixun T3A and experienced the same performance across all the cartridges. I did not have to adjust any settings when switching comparable tips between the two brands. I don't expect anything different from these 245 cartridges, but also don't have the spare funds to buy JBC equivalents for all the 12 VECO-T cartridges I now own. If you're a jobber and want guaranteed reliability, you'll probably opt for something like JBC. For the rest of us, these are a fantastic option. VECO-T may not have as an extensive cartridge catalog compared to JBC, but they have a decent enough selection for all but the most specific soldering jobs.

Great support from this manufacture!
Tips from this manufacture seam to be hit/miss. I have had ones that perform great. I have also had ones like this one try to burn my house down. Tip temperature never changes on the display with this one and will become red hot quickly. Also test these tips before using to see what the actual temperature is. Some can be quite far off. QC is very lacking on these cheap tips. When they work, they work well. When they don't they are straight dangerous. Gonna order another set and try my luck again. Really wanted a large tip for large work. This tip is as big as will fit the station. Shame it destroyed itself on first power up. I will update my review when the new set gets here. The price is worth the gamble. It's just a crap shoot if you get a good one or not. Update: Changing my review to 1 star. I got the replacement set. I will be sending everything back. 2 out of the 3 do not even work at all and the one that does is 30 deg colder than it should be. The large one I bought this for errors out immediately and they have made the size slightly bigger so it no longer even fits in the holder like the first set did. Update2: The manufacture contacted me and offered to replace these from a new batch. I am happy to report that all 3 work great! I am changing my review to four stars because I feel the first ones may have just been a bad batch. I will be buying more in the future. Great support from this manufacture.

Works with Yihua 982 and the 616A handle
I tested the Veco-T C245-J02, C245-K and C245-C8 tips with a Yihua 982 Green station using the Yihua 616A handle (five pin connector). Third party tips rarely mention Yihua compatibility so that was my core test with these Veco-T tips. I found the tip resistance to be similar to a Yihua C245 tip with the exception of the C8 tip which showed no resistance. I suspect this might be due to the design as the tip heated as expected. With all three tips provided, they heated and cooled as expected. They also took 63Sn/37Cn (183 degree C) 0.3mm HTM rosin core solder with no issues. The tinned areas of the tips adhered solder with no gaps. The black insulation rings appeared to have slightly larger length and the length varied around the circumference compared to the Yihua tips but it did not impact performance. One should be aware that the C8 tip is huge and will not fit into the docking cradle of the Yihua station. While I cannot yet determine the longevity of these tips, they are performing well for me at this point in time.

Great C245 3 PCs soldering tips!
This is a great 3 piece C245 iron tips for soldering and resoldering circuit boards.I have few of the Veco-T tips and I love them.Try to not leave these tips on high tempts without use, that can damage them or not last long,if you have a soldering station that has sleep mode, great and if not it's best to turn off iron until you will use it These tips works great for SMD soldering and unsoldering. They work great on JBC soldering station or any other soldering station with C245.I really like these tips, they have lasted me a long time because I take care of them. And the best part is there are super affordable.I will continue to buy these tips and since they don't break the bank it's best to buy a few extra as backups.
