A really nice collection of Shakespeare stories with lovely illustrations. I would agree it’s for 7+ depending on reading age (even as a book read by an adult to a child). My son wasn’t very engaged with it when I first bought it but picked it out a few months later. The books of a nice quality and does a good job of simplifying the stories. Recently revisited the book with my son as he’s doing MSND in year 5 and I thought it would be helpful to refresh him on the plot. He was very proud to tell his teacher he already knew the story!

Seeing his excitement and joy while reading brings me so much happiness. This book is a wonderful introduction to Shakespeare's works, and I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase. Highly recommend it for any young reader!

A really wonderful book, cleverly distilled versions of Shakespeare’s most famous masterpieces that are accessible to children but also to adults to remind them of plays long ago studied at school or as gentle introductions to the bard’s other plays. Beautifully illustrated as well, all adding up to a wonderful gift.

I am a huge Shakespeare fan and wanted to introduce my Son at a young age without him losing interest. Hes four years old and this is the perfect book to do just that, not only is the book itself beautiful on the outside and inside with gorgeous illustrations but the stories are shortened perfectly for little ears and just the right length for a bed time story that keeps them engaged and interested. As there are so many stories you can read it again and again, every night and really make it last making it great value for money. A brilliant introduction for little ones to Shakespear.

My 7-year old objected to the fact that some illustrations are on the wrong page of text, but the pictures are wonderful. The stories omit some of the more minor characters, but I found them easier to use for young children than the famous Charles and Mary Lamb versions.

This is a really great introduction to Shakespeare for kids but you might need to re-word most of the stories as the book could have been written better,with more modern language that kids can easily understand.

Bought for my 9 year old niece on recommendation from her mum. I’m thrilled with it! If my own daughter was younger I’d buy one for her as well. Beautifully illustrated, quality printing, thick paper. Bargain.

Simply amazing!! My daughter loves the book and she has been adamant at finishing it asap but i had to tell her to go slowly and enjoy every story to the maximum. Recommended.
