Review: Bulk 5V regulators - I have done some basic testing on these voltage regulators. With a 9V input, the 10 regulators produced 4.91-4.98V, which is within the commonly qutoed 4.8-5.2V specification for the L7805CV. Connecting to a heat sink with thermal paste is highly recommended if you are using a much higher input voltage and/or near the high end of the current rating, but I haven't had any hit problems yet. FYI, when the writing on the cover is facing you, the pinout from left to right is Input, Ground, Output.

Bulk 5V regulators
I have done some basic testing on these voltage regulators. With a 9V input, the 10 regulators produced 4.91-4.98V, which is within the commonly qutoed 4.8-5.2V specification for the L7805CV. Connecting to a heat sink with thermal paste is highly recommended if you are using a much higher input voltage and/or near the high end of the current rating, but I haven't had any hit problems yet.
