I had been taking Vitamin Shoppe ones for years. They became unavailable. I tried MSM by Life Extension because I had liked their other products. Was disappointed- had to take more tablets to still feel not quite as goid. With this new brand 2 tablets eliminates my joint point. If I stop taking them for more than 3 days, joint pain comes back & stays with a vengeance! I don’t have arthritis, just stiff sore joints enough to interfere with Tai Chi. As long as I take it I move like someone 20 years younger than I am in my 60s.

Most of my life I have had scalp psoriasis, which can be difficult to calm down when it flares up. I have found that taking the MSM pure and using the MSM pure topical gel has cleared up most of the hot spots that were inflamed, red, extremely itchy, scaly skin patches. I wish I had found this supplement years ago! My hair has started to look and feel much healthier. This stuff is great at relieving other skin issues too. IMO (I am not a health professional) taking the tablets and using the topical gel is the source of my success. I’ve been using this product for about a month now to which I have seen a huge difference in the way my skin feels and looks. I have never used a MSM supplement before, so I don’t have another brand to compare this brand to. I just know it’s top notch!

I decided to try MSM supplements mainly for my arthritic ankle, but my mother suffered from an (incurable) arthritic locked shoulder joint. She needed relief from constant pain that cortico-steroids would have helped had it not been for her advanced age. After three weeks, there was noticeable pain relief, followed by improvements in range of motion. There was a prominent lump over her shoulder joint that slowly disappeared. She is most definitely on the mend. As for my arthritic ankle - well, not so successful thus far. However, I will continue to take MSM; it it helps a 99-yr. old, it has to be of assistance to her 71-yr old son. There has been one noticeable change for me, however - my finger nails and toe nails have gotten much thicker and a real challenge to clip. Go figure.

I take these for a number of reasons. However, they do seem to make my hair and nails grow faster. If I were a woman that would excite me. Otherwise, I believe they are serving my purposes.
