I have been crocheting for many years and have purchased a lot of these kits. This one is very similar to the Woobles at a fraction of the price. I love these kits because everything is included and I can just grab one of the boxes and take it with me on the go. The instructions are not in the box but there is a QR code that takes you to the video tutorial on you tube, so you will need internet access and a device to complete. This set is very cute and comes with enough supplies to make 2 animals. I highly recommend these kits over the Woobles

This was a great beginner kit for the price. It came with everything you would need to make your project. The included pamphlet had QR codes for a downloadable pdf version of instructions as well as a video that you can follow along with. This is a cute little project that would be perfect for older kids.

I had never picked up a crochet hook before ordering this kit. After seeing some adorable crochet blankets on TikTok, I figured if I ever wanted to crochet at that level, I had to start somewhere. Honestly, all I knew about crochet was that it required yarn and hooks — and that was about it. The box did arrive damage. It was in a box with other items so I’m not sure how the damage happened. Thankfully, nothing was damaged or appeared to be missing inside. This kit seemed like a good starting point, and it appears to include everything a beginner needs, even practice yarn. The instructions are easy to access by scanning the QR code, which gives you a choice between a YouTube tutorial or the tutorial with printable PDF instructions. The video moves at a good pace for beginners, although a few sections seemed to drag on longer than necessary. My biggest challenge was learning the magic ring. No matter how many times I watched and practiced, I just couldn’t make that final loop. I know there are usually multiple ways to do the same thing, so I searched for other tutorials hoping to find a method that worked better for me so I could continue with the kit. No matter how many tutorials I watched, I couldn’t quite get it. Luckily, I have a couple of friends who crochet, so I plan to ask them for some hands-on help. I think seeing it in person will work better for me than constantly stopping and replaying a video. I don’t want to give the kit a low rating simply because I might learn differently. Once I get past this starting hurdle, I’m excited to jump back in and finish making the cute seals included in the kit. One additional note: This is safe for kids to handle, so I’d highly recommend starting them young!

These were very cute. My daughter who is 11 loves to crochet and she was able to make them.

Quality is decent and video instructions easy to follow, BUT it is NOT the best beginner kit. I am a beginner and had only done a Woobles kit and a few small projects before this. If you are a beginner, just be aware that this yarn is like ... microscopic... Okay, maybe my 35 year old eyesight is going, but this kit only uses a 2.5mm crochet hook. (Woobles uses a 4mm). There is a big difference between those - I included a gauge swatch photo of the first three rows of the pattern with this kit on top (blue) and a Woobles yarn/hook on bottom (brown). If you are a beginner, this kit is going to be much harder for you to keep your loop size consistent and also keep track of where your stitches are. I am surviving, but I would have given up if this my first ever attempt. This yarn was also more prone to snagging but I think that is likely due to the smaller loops and hook. I don't regret getting this, I'm just glad it is not my first amigurumi project.

The yarn looked vibrant and soft online. In person, it’s dull and scratchy. "Light yellow" is actually almost gray. Even if I could crochet with it, I wouldn’t want to—it looks old and cheap. This was originally intended as a Christmas gift for my granddaughter, but now I'll have to choose a different one.

When I found out how to get the pattern, all is good. Thank goodness this was not a scam . I wrote the author of the pattern and he answered me right away and how to get the directions. I was not able to use the bar code on my computer, and I did what the author said to do , wow the pattern popped up. Made the dashound, great directions, I don’t have a picture for the person wanted it took it before I got a chance to take one. Everything is great thank you, M Crommie
