Lightweight Review: Ultimate Scooter - Really great scooter especially for the price. On the plus side, great suspension - my 6.2 ft 100 kgs husband has no problem riding on it, really fun to get around, easily folded. On the minus side, a bit more chunky than expected, the foot plate is slightly high (good exercise though), and breaking in wet weather is not very easy (although I believe this would be the same with any other scooter unless it has different type of wheels). All in all highly recommend. Review: School Run Mum - I'm really pleased with this scooter - the ride is really smooth with the suspension which you will really notice. The big wheels make it easier to scoot. The brake isn't brilliant but does slow you down enough. Folding is really easily. Overall a fantastic scooter especially for the money. I do the school run on mine and I absolutely love it. Rather than sitting in the car I can now squeeze in 40 mins exercise per day by doing a 10min scoot 4 x per day. It's win win and my daughter loves it too.

Excellent, only minor concerns
I have been using this scooter for around a month. Positive: Well built, no signs of anything falling off or breaking. Handle bars could be higher (I'm 5'4"/165cm) but it's very useful that they are adjustable so it folds away quite nicely. Break is excellent. It may seem a little flimsy but works very well. A good weight, easy to transport on public transport. The board is a good size and can fit both feet on it comfortably (uk size 7). Negative: Wrong colour was sent. The strap that comes with it is ok but the clip keeps breaking so may find an alternative. Wheel size means at slow speeds, they get caught on uneven surfaces and I've gone over the handle bars a couple of times. Recommendations: If you plan to use this scooter seriously, consider purchasing a front light, bell, bike gloves, helmet. Watch out for uneven surfaces as I have come off a few times where the wheel gets stuck. Much less painful that coming off a bike but did have to pull gravel out my hands and I have some wicked bruises. I really enjoy using this scooter, it does the job, gets me where I need to go and had speedy delivery (even though they sent me a pink one when I purchased gold :/)

Best thing I've bought on years
Best thing I've bought on years. Good piece of kit. Cuts my commute by 2/3rds. I replaced the bars for 18 inch ones which I recommend if you're a bloke. This improves control and balance which was already good. Another reason for doing this, is the short removable bars are wobbly and don't really save space when on bus etc., because you can just rotate the bars in-line with the plate. I'm fifty-nine and just love it. Tip-Brake very early if the wheels are wet!

Scooter snapped on half at speed
Good cheap scooter. Or so i thought! I have had it for 3 monthes and i use it 3-4 times a week to scoot roughly 1.2 miles to work from where i park my car. No rough pavements or raised kerbs to cross. Mostly through inverleith park in edinburgh. Today i was riding it, traveling at about 20 mph down the tarmaced hill in the park as i usually do and the scooter suddenly snapped on half! I repeat SNAPPED IN HALF! I flew off and grazed my arms and legs, luckily i didnt bash my head in going at that speed! So by looking at the scooter and where it broke i can see that the welds had failed around where the folding mechanism is connected to the footboard. The aluminium is quite thick, about 10mm but the welds are only on the outside of the U shaped aluminium and are only about 2mm in width! So no wonder it snapped! I weigh 75kg which is not really heavy for an adult. I think this scooter should be taken off the market until its properly welded.

Great
Bought for my 13-year-old was not recommended to ride bikes and so she’s never bothered to learn but loves the freedom of a scooter because of her height, she’s taller than me. This scooter is brilliant. Let’s her go to town out with her friends and feel safe and as she says it’s much quicker than walking, every where she absolutely loves it.

Old gits: don't be swayed by these reviews from fellow oldsters zipping around...
OK. The simple version is that this is good value for money if you want a kick-powered scooter. It is a bit fiddly to fold, and the handlebars are a bit rattly when in place, but it feels study enough. However, if your use case is like mine - ad-hoc transport for an aging, out-of-condition couch potato in the days of coronavirus - then don't be swayed by the reviews from people claiming to be out of condition old gits who are now scooting around like there's no tomorrow. I was looking for something to travel to family - about a five mile round trip. Walkable, but tedious every day, and don't fancy the germs of public transport. I was toying with spending the extra and getting an electric scooter, but I was persuaded by the numerous reviews from purported oldsters zipping around on these. After one run round the block I was knackered, my back and knee were killing me and I was confused how anyone thought this was easier than just walking. I daresay that if someone held a gun to me head and insisted, I'd get used to it. I think the problem for me is a case of the scooting posture required ather than the energy expended. But, as there's no-one with a gun around this is likely to be consigned to a cupboard or given to a younger family member. Meanwhile, I'm off to look at Xiaomi M365s...

Perfect for children, excellent suspensions
Having bought one, I have then decided that it is not for me. I do not like the asymmetric movement - with pressure on the spine- required to use any scooter, this one is no exception. However, my children absolutely love it, it is much better than the standard child scooter, the front and rear suspensions make it very pleasant to use on uneven ground. The scooter is wide enough for adult feet and it is suitable for people of a wide height range.
