The two tried out are Excellent - both non veg;the Chettinad Chicken & the mutton dish. Over a period of time, will try out the other recipes too. I love to read out the recipes & my cook dishes out the magic. The Book is very well produced & luckily I got it on Amazon - after failing to get it elsewhere.

Very well curated book. I bought it prior to my visit and stay at the Bangala. The information in this book gave me an enriched connect with this heritage property and it's culinary traditions.

Recipes that work at home
We stayed at the Bangala in January. Recipes in the book worked wonderfully well in my kitchen and remind us of the wonderful fare in Chettinad and the Bangala. Thank you Mrs Meyyappan, Pandian, and of course Karuppiah. What a wonderful heritage.

We love this cookbook
We love this cookbook. Jim made a Chettinad lamb dish for our Christmas dinner party, to rave reviews! We have had the great good fortune to visit the Bangala twice in recent years, and we knew a cookbook was in the works. We have not been disappointed. The Chettinad history that is included is an edifying bonus. Any readers who visit southeast India and have the opportunity to enjoy a meal or a stay at this hotel should take it. The food is extraordinary, and the atmosphere, charming, comfortable, and Indian: The rooms feature Chettinad colors and crafts. If our luck holds, we hope we can visit the Bangala again. Cheers!
