Mann filters and K&N have been my go to oil filters for years now. My 1967 Volvo wagon always used oem. When Purolator and Fram offered foriegn car filters in the 70s I used theirs until the 80s when they started making junk. K&N was my filter of choice until they started using asian companies to manufacture their products. The Chinese and asians star out with quality product but do not replace manufacturing machinery that wears and is no longer within tolerance until the contracting company catches the defective product usually a result of failed filters in customer cars complaints. I do not wish to partake in this type of quality control. Mann seems to be dedicated in the concept of profits through quality control instead of CEO commissions by cutting manufacturing costs. U-tube Fram to see how a filter fails and look at the filter in hand to see the quality of the weak points in any filter. Since the sale of Mobil one I started changing my oil every 10,000 miles with a new filter. If done religiously the synthetics will suspend solids and stop buildup of such contamination so you filter will not be taxed with solids. My confirmation is: 1998 Tahoe 500,000 miles, 2007 XC-90 300,000, 1997 850 200,000, 2007 Prius 180,000,2009 Prius 150,000, 1999 Suburban 190,000,1972 240Z 66,000 but runs like new. All these cars were purchased with less than 100,000 on them. ALL HAVE THE ORIGINAL ENGINES and drivetrains WITH NO MAJOR WORK DONE. Just regular maintenance and regular fluid changes on ALL FLUIDS in spite of the manufactures claim of lifetime fluid. I'll be using Mann for the for seeable future unless I see "MADE IN ASIA" on the label. 12/2023; Prius has 280,000 as put away for the winter. Still runs great. Will change the oil come spring. Time for the Tahoe and Volvo to get me through the winter. HAPPY HOLIDAYS.

Been using these in my 2010 Volvo S80 T6 for years. No issues. I've been changing every 5000k miles with Pennzoil Platinum 5w-30.

I have no idea if this filters better than any other popular brand but it fits perfectly and comes with the proper rubber filter canister seal. If it came with a crush washer, it would have deserved a 5 star rating. For the money, I'll probably buy this one again next time but know to buy a crush washer separately.
