Professional-Grade USB Testing Made Easy - Incredibly Accurate and Reliable!
This DROK USB Load Tester is an essential tool for anyone who works with USB devices or wants to verify their chargers and cables are performing correctly! The adjustable constant current feature from 0.25A to 4A makes it incredibly versatile - I've been able to test everything from low-power accessories to high-output fast chargers. The dual interface compatibility with both standard USB and Type-C is perfect for modern testing needs since everything is transitioning to USB-C. The build quality is solid, and the controls are intuitive and easy to adjust. I've used it to identify faulty cables and chargers that were delivering inconsistent power, which has saved me from potential device damage. The intelligent temperature control with the built-in cooling fan is a brilliant feature that really sets this apart from cheaper testers. Even when running sustained 25W tests, the unit stays cool and stable. The display is clear and easy to read, giving me accurate real-time readings of voltage and current. This has become an indispensable part of my testing toolkit - whether I'm verifying new charging equipment, troubleshooting power delivery issues, or just satisfying my curiosity about how well my chargers actually perform. For the price, you get professional-grade testing capabilities that are normally found in much more expensive equipment. If you're serious about electronics, charging infrastructure, or just want peace of mind about your power sources, this is an outstanding investment.

Great little device
I’m using this to keep my USB battery pack alive by providing a constant load, since my garage door sensors don’t draw enough power on their own to prevent the pack from shutting off. It works perfectly. One tip: although it’s advertised as only going down to 0.25A, it actually goes lower, which is ideal for my setup. I have it set at 0.11A — just enough to keep the pack active while running cooler and drawing less power. My sensors now stay powered 24/7 without any issues.

Excellent tool for testing USB cords and chargers
Awesome item for testing chargers and USB cords. Many reviews state that they put a power meter inline, but it's not necessary. This device does show voltage, amperage, and wattage, although only one at a time. I feel like the device should be inside of a case for better protection, but maybe that's not all that beneficial. If that keeps cost down, fine. My only complaint is the number of turns on the dial required to adjust the load. A full revolution only adds about 0.2 amps. Fine control is nice, but it takes a lot to go from 0 to 3 amps. It's definitely proven what cables I have are junk, as well as confirm that my chargers are better than I was expecting.

Works Well, Display Unreadable in Sunlight
This is a decent little variable load for testing USB devices, and if you cut the USB cable, you can use the power wires to attach non-USB loads as well. And since the device offers over-voltage, over-current and over-power protection, it would be hard to kill it. I like that it offers three types of USB connectors, which increase its versatility. Very easy to use and set and offers a fully variable load, so you can sneak up on the limits of your power source and know when it craps out. Very small footprint so it doesn't take up a lot of room on your workbench or in your toolbox. In my testing, it was able to handle the advertised loads (different for each connector type) plus a little more. Disappointing if you want to use to test small solar panels outdoors however, since the display is impossible to read under bright lighting conditions. The display has a slow refresh rate too, so taking a photo of the readout is unlikely if not impossible. (see my review photos for an illustration of what I mean)

Great for the price
The adjustable USB load doesn't have a case, just an exposed PC board. So be careful. You could probably walk across the carpet and zap it with a fatal electrostatic discharge. This is a test tool, so that's okay. Just be sure to practice safe ESD control behavior. Touch a grounded object before touching the USB load. The multi-turn potentiometer works great. The instructions are poorly organized but if you read the whole instruction sheet you can easily understand what the controls do. This is a very simple device.

It peforms as expected.
I was very pleased. Because of the ability to set the load, I was able to identify some USB cables that could not support very much current. This explains why there were some charging issues. I decided to use it to test another batch of five cables that were still packaged. Three of the five were open, no connectivity through the cable. It also helped identify a cable whose temperature rose 4 degrees in five minutes with a 2 ampere load. That cable contributed to charging issues. The current indication is also very accurate when measured with a USB Multimeter. . I would recommend this. It is good controllable load. It has met all of me expectations. The photo shows it as the load for a cable being tested. The cable is held on a flat surface so that an infrared thermometer can measure the temperature at 30 second intervals.

Handy device to test charger speed
Quite a handy device. I have a collection many chargers, and this load tester allows me to easily find the ones that are “fast” i.e. 4 amps, and ones which are slow (3 amps or less). Was able to clear the decks and get rid of many old / slow chargers.

Good inexpensive tester
Handy, compact load tester. Fan-forced cooling helps.

The device works well however we can only achieve 17W for some reason. We have had to use additional loads to boost the amount for our testing to 25W which wasn't ideal.

very helpfull and good testing device good for testing power bank claims that saw well we put out 15v @ 1,5 amp well this meter you can set it to that load and than see if you some the power bank and believe me ive smoked a few with it just going 10% under normal limit from a good brand power bank seems some brands over charge their power banks a bit in the price range 20-40 euro watch it almost all fail tests and kinda begin to get verry hot to stop test for safe reasons.
