WeChip Air Remote better than NVIDIA Shield TV Box remote
The WeChip Air Remove is a great value for the money. It's better than the remote shipped by NVIDIA with the Shield TV Box. And unlike every other air remote I've tried... all functions work with NVIDIA. I need to be able to use "mouse" functions for some apps that I run and it performed great. PROs: 1) Value (great price) 2) All key functions work with NVIDIA (even back button) 3) Keyboard on back for typing (instead of hunt and click in the onscreen keyboard 4) Battery Life much better than default remote from NVIDIA 5) Bluye light indicator for "mouse" mode and for alt function on keyboard CONs: 1) use of blue lettering on keyboard for alt alphanumeric input (hard to see in dimly lit room 2) mouse function does not auto turn off automatically (blue light flashed when mouse is on...indicating battery drainage) 3) no TV IR functions for volume adjust of TV set * I'm not a android box gamer so I am not sure of remote's gaming capability. I would think it works as well if not better than default remote--but I've not used it for gaming so can not be confident of that statement. This is a great buy for NVIDIA Shield TV box remote replacement. I definitely would purchase this remote again when I need to replace.

Worth the money but just a few flaws
Great concept product, leaves a little to be desired for function. Overall good design but I find it hard in the dark to figure out up from down, sometimes use it backwards for that reason. The IR function does not work with my Samsung TV no matter how I program it Keyboard only works with some apps but overall the family loves it! no issues. PS. the battery life is amazing

No buyers remorse here!
WHY IS THIS REMOTE SO INEXPENSIVE??? It’s been one of my best buys as of yet! At this moment we’ve been relying our small laptop for entertainment so having a wireless mouse and keyboard were a nuisance around our living room. We decided to risk on purchasing this remote and I’ve been pleased! It’s easy to use, practical and looks great! The generic pictures don’t give it justice. It looks professional, and the features are great! The feature I love the most is that the side that you’re using (the top side) isn’t impeded by the bottom side that you’re not using. You flip it and the bottom side becomes neutral and won’t intervene and this feature is automatic. No need to flip a switch or press a button. You flip it and boom, the bottom side is void. Haven’t used the IR function so I can’t say much there sadly. The pointer has some getting used to. Press the arrow button and it becomes active, press it again and it ceases to move. The looks of it is great. The main buttons have a brushed aluminum look although it’s plastic. But this gives it a great look. The glossy side can be prone to scratches but it’s still great to look at. And I’m glad it doesn’t have the “WiChip” logo, otherwise the look would be less attractive. If there was one con it would be when you press the Fn button. There’s a light on top that lights up to let you know it’s active but the light is very dim. You have to be in the dark or have your hand over it to see the light. Otherwise this review deserves a perfect score! Don’t think about it anymore, make the buy.

No play/rew/ff control
This product is very nice ergonomically and seemed to work with my Fire TV 4K right out of the box.... EXCEPT for the volume controls. I can not seem to get the volume controls to work for my sound bar. Also, it's almost unbelievable that there are no play, rewind, or fast forward controls on this remote.

Just doesn’t work as described
Instructions for putting the remote into learning in the included user manual get me no where. I did a quick search on the web and found a different set of instructions and they don’t work either. Spent too much time trying to figure this out. I see other reviewers with the same issue. I can not get this remote into learning mode. Just not possible. Returned for a refund.

Amazing to me that such a seemingly complex, high quality gadget is so cheap
I had never used or heard of an air mouse before this product. I figured something that did what this thing does would cost $100. It is unfathomable to me that this thing works as well as it does for such a cheap price. It is perfect quality, plug and play, and simply does exactly what you expect it to do. It takes a small bit of getting used to, but after a day or so I can grab it and point and click without even thinking about it. My only slight gripe is that I have the point speed as low as it will go and it's still a little too fast for me. Not too bad though, I'm sure I will adjust over time.

The Best Remote Around
This works perfectly for any application. I have one on my Nvidia Shield and one on my Fire TV Cube. Everything works good for the Shield...controls shield and my TV volume. The Fire TV Cube was a little different...couldn't get the volume buttons to control my TV while the USB dongle was plugged in. So I unplugged USB, did the manual programing to control my TV, and switch the HDMI CEC to control the Fire TV Cube. Works but lost the keyboard functionality. Not the fault of the remote but the issue is the Fire TV Cube won't allow a remote to change volume....relies on the Echo voice control to change TV volume.

For FireTV - Good in concept, but poor in execution.
Wanted to use this as a replacement/upgrade for my Amazon FireTV remote, but when plugging in the dongle to get air mouse and keyboard functions, you lose the ability to control TV volume and can't program the volume buttons to work with your audio system (power button still works though). If the dongle is unplugged, you are able to program and use the volume buttons, but lose wireless mouse & keyboard functionality (other buttons can work through HDMI-CEC). Great concept for a remote, but doesn't work quite right with FireTV or FireTV Stick with a USB OTG cable. Tried multiple FireTV devices, audio devices, and two of these remotes, and always have the same result. Wish there was a way to keep volume control separate from the Bluetooth dongle when plugged in.
