High Sierra Padded Snowboard Bag

I took this on the plane once, loaded with my boots and a lot of clothes on top of the board. No rips, no tears, no concerns at all! It was easy to carry and looks great - not too boring, and not too juvenile.I don't know how well it would stand extensive plane travel, but for the boarder who flies occasionally, it's perfect. I was considering one with wheels for durability, but at the frequency I fly and the price difference, I couldn't justify it - and I am glad I got this one instead.UPDATE 3/29/16: I still have this bag. Have taken it on the plane to Colorado and back, and it has been loaded and unloaded into the car and our horizontal "hole" of a sports closet many times. The bag has been great through it all. I stuffed it really full during our flights - it fit ALL my gear: boots, outerwear, and baselayers - and it was accepted by the airlines (including Frontier) just fine. The zippers work smoothly and the outside pocket is great. I used a cable lock with a TSA opening which was great because they opened it both ways. But the bag is still like new. I wish that it had wheels, but I didn't want to spend that kind of money. Overall, I still really love this bag.

Great bag all around I agree with everyone else...must say I am a little bumbed that I didn't get the smokin deal of $42 as another buyer did, but overall very pleased.!!!!! DON"T WORRY ABOUT THE ISSUES WITH NO PADDING ON BOTTOM OF BAG !!!!Here is a very easy fix for the problem....go to your neighborhood lumber type store and for 97 cents each buy a few 1/2 foam pipe insulation noodles. Duct taped two pieces together, open the slit in the foam, slide it around the full circumference of your board, trim to length and use elastic bands to hold in place.Problem solved for ANY bag, or damage done by rusty old truck beds that some people just toss there gear.You can drop your board from the Empire State building and it won't get dinged.Plus....PLUS....you can fold the foam tube up and conveniently store in your new High Sierra Padded Snowboard Bag !!No need to send me money or gifts for that great idea...I come up with them all the time !!!

Checked my two snowboards as baggage on a flight using just this one bag. Decent padding on the bottom but little if any on top. I bubble-wrapped my boards for ~4 bucks and through a blanket or two in the bag just for good measure. Needless to say my boards were perfectly fine. At the very least I knew the bag would hold up and not come open easily or anything like that.I recommend some extra padding like I used if checking the board on a plane. If you're just driving with it and/or need a carrying bag, this one is fine as is.

Excellent bag!! I got this for $42. At that price it was competing with a few other budget bags. I needed something to fit all my gear into for a trip. The key part was needing it to fit my boots add well. The picture doesn't do this bags size justice. I fit my board+bindings, size 12 boots, snow pants, jacket, goggles, and helmet!. Zipping it up was still easy.This bag has some padding on the bottom but not on the top. If that bothers you then don't look at budget bags.The straps on the bag seem solid and are comfortable. They held up through DIA and other airportsThe bag looks sweet too. for $42 bucks you can't get any better

I bought this bag right before a big ski/snowboard trip. We had it overnighted because no one in our city carries them. The bag was perfect for my sons snowboard, it even fit his boots and a few smaller items. The bag is padded and very sturdy. No problems checking this bag with airlines.

I purchased this for my daughter who is in school on the east coast so she loved the design and it is holding all of her snowboarding gear - which is essential for dorm living.

This bag comfortably held and safely transported snowboard and boots as checked airline baggage. Bubblewrapped both ends of board for more padding/protection and also packed snowpants, gloves, etc. Probably more items could have been packed with this to save on other baggage. Great bag and quality for the price!

I used this bag for not only my board, but literally everything else for my (flying) trip that I didn't carry on. It was great. And certainly easy to identify at the baggage claim!
