Lots of thread tearing
Thought my rigid cutters were getting dull so bought theses. They cut poorly so returned and back to rigid. I do have a SD cutter head and tried these there, teared threads in both the rigid 815 and the SD head. Same result.

Attempted to use on Wheeler Rex 7090
Unfortunately, because these don't have the indexing indent they are extremely difficult to install on the machine's die head. After 40 minutes of frustration and finally getting them installed, it took 6 or 7 attempts before I was able to cut good thread. This is because the dimensions of these dies are slightly different than the dimensions of the Wheeler Rex dies. I decided to return these dies because they were so difficult to index and ordered genuine Wheeler Rex dies. The genuine ones swap out in less than 1 minute and thread cuts correspond to the die head markings exactly. That said, if you have a machine that will take these dies quickly and cut accurately against the gauge markings, they are very good dies for the price. The Wheeler dies are 3x the price...

Seems to be a good replacement to the Ridgid dies whose quality has been going down. Good price, just have to see the results of the test of time.
