Nice and snappy
I really like these brushes. I've bought these long handled Dugato brushes a few months ago and they're my most grabbed brushes. I even prefer them over some of my more expensive Princeton velvet touch and Neptune brushes. They are synthetic and do not hold as much water as a natural hair brush, but that's ok they still hold a decent amount and provide more control. If you look at my picture you can see how well they've held their shape and sharp tip. The two largest in the set I haven't even used yet and the points on the used ones are almost as sharp as the ones that are still rock hard due to sizing used to protect them while being shipped. If anyone else reviews these please do not leave a bad review to them being hard as a rock when you get them. They are supposed to be that way. Simply rinse them under warm water for a few minutes and it gone. I've even left them sitting in water overnight, 😬, and they didn't loose shape, crack, peel or loosen the ferrel. Speaking of ferrels those have all been nice and tight too. The only thing I don't like is the long handle. I prefer the short handles. However I also ordered the Dugato short handle 10 ct set of all rounds and the nicpro in a similar set last week and I don't care for them near as much as I do these. Those are ok put they don't hold water as well and they didn't keep nowhere near as sharp of a point. As a matter of fact the short black tipped brush in the far left of my brush tin is the Dugato short handle size 4 which is the same size as the long handle 6. My other size 6s are comparable in size to the Long handled Dugato. I am a novice still learning and I don't have any of the super expensive brushes to compare theses with, but the few pricier ones I do have don't make me think OMG this single brush I just spent $15 on is amazing. These make me say OMG this whole $15 set is every bit as good if not way better than that one brush I bought. I know it's a long review but I hope this helps someone when trying to choose between the 999 other similar options. Dugato if you're reading this, please make this exact same brush in a short handle version. I'm ready to take one to my miter saw and cut the handle down.

I just bought ten more sets
These brushes are so good I fear that they will become more expensive or no longer be available soon. The quest for the right brushes has been a long and for me expensive search. Now I have the brushes I love. Apart from a few fans, a few riggers and some water brushes, these will be the watercolor brushes I plan to use from here on out. I love these brushes. Shibasaki Sensei is the mentor for watercolor that I love! His Youtube videos have taught me more than any other source. In his Youtube video, "[Eng sub] How to choose a Watercolor brush. Watercolor for Beginners," he advises that your main brush be a large round brush. He uses a #20. He wants a brush that will hold lots of paint and still be expressive and able to draw detail. Shibasaki Sensei also advises you to use an inexpensive brush so you will not fear to express yourself. "[Eng sub] Shibasaki-Special | Watercolor painting tutorial for beginners." I purchased these brushes because I am not brave enough to damage my expensive ones. I purchased one set and tested them. After testing and comparing them, I find them equal and better than some rather expensive and highly ranked brushes. I like them as much as my favorite Princeton quill, and I really love that brush. I was amazed that it beat out much more expensive brushes and now I am amazed that these quite inexpensive brushes are as good. I prefer the line, consistency, and feel of these Dugato brushes to any of my other brushes. These perform as I expect a good brush to perform. They came in a nice flat package with individual tubes protecting the brushes. They cleaned up nicely and they take paint well. They dry faster than any of my more expensive brushes. They do not hold as much paint as my larger bellied brushes, but I do not hold that against them. They hold more than enough and they clean a lot more easily. The feel, shape and size of these is wonderful. These are now my main brushes.

Excellent quality at an affordable price, no stray hairs, no shedding, not floppy. Winner!
I giggled a bit because I DID want long handle brushes, but totally didn’t envision them this big and didn’t bother to look at details because I really wanted long handle brushes. So I was like WHOA they deliver on the long handles, alright! The draw was the nice plump looking brush head so I jumped right on them since I struggled to find an affordable set that actually looked like a good brush head. They often look thin, too long (a floppy brush head is a no no for me), they have shedding issues or fray. Well, let me just tell you, I was right! These brushes are wonderfully THIRSTY. I’ve purchased and tried quite a few brush sets from amazon and local stores, and these brushes have the best quality, thickness and length I personally want in a brush. In mixed media, I use my brushes for every type of paint, and most say they are for every kind of paint, but it’s not true, and in some cases, not possible. These are absolutely a brush that will be great for any paint, and I use them happily with watercolors and water soluble media in general, acrylic (I do not use oil so can’t comment), and for watercolors especially, these brushes are always what I go to because they are amazing at picking up and holding water, nice and juicy, and the brush also stays in perfect shape, it’s just always in excellent shape, no stray hairs, no shedding, the handles are nice and solid and well made, and you can feel the quality in your hand. Any issue you might have with low cost brands that are black label, you won’t have here. They are great! And I have no trouble at all using these brushes even for very small artwork. Very. Beautiful and a joy to use. Terrific value. I’m very impressed. I will also say that I have ended up with Dugato products in my searches for supplies and of all the endless choices, this brand stands out as one with a really great product. In fact, when I needed to get additional brushes in a different type of shape, I searched them first. That’s how pleased I am. One thing I’d love if I had a wish is that they would offer these exact brushes in a set with round, flat, filbert, angled each in a couple/few sizes each so that painters can have a nice set of everything needed in one. That would be fantastic and make a great gift. Because I need to pull brushes when I paint, and I’d love to be able to just pull a set of these long handled beauties and get to work. Perhaps in the future?! 😉 Even though I will buy any set of shape these come in at a great price, it’s still not economical for me, in a very tight budget, to buy a pack of each brush type in 13 sizes! I do NOT use all of those sizes and the brushes are all even sizes. Personally, I’m fine with that and I think I get why—it makes perfect sense, but there are few occasions when I go to look for a size that isn’t there because it’s an odd number. But they are so close that it is actually smart to go evens because there is more useful variety this way. But, again, 13 of one brush is great, but it would be much better if a set of variety of types in a few sizes was also available. Especially for new painters, beginners, who are most often lost when picking out what brushes to but to start. I think these would be a super choice for them, the quality for the money, but I would always suggest for a beginner, to buy a low cost set that has round, flat, filbert, angle and maybe a fan. I did look for one and didn’t see any kind of variety set in this particular brush style. It would be a cool addition! It’s sensible and far more economical, they can make a complete work of art with that kind of set, and they can see which kind of brush they enjoy working with the most. Then they might even be more apt to return to buy a pack of that particular type in a range of sizes. But the size selection is really great. I don’t think I saw any flats, just filberts. It is really satisfying to paint with the largest of the bunch. It’s very thirsty, holds a ton of water! It lets me put down a nice wash of color on a larger space and use some techniques to create beautiful backgrounds. The heads are so nice that the small ones allow for great detail, which makes me happy because I can’t stand it when a brush is all frayed or has random hairs sticking out that cause tiny stray marks where you don’t want them. These never give me that problem, and I’m grateful for it. They are terrific with acrylics, too. While I think I like a longer handle I think I’d like them just a bit shorter, but out of all the brushes I’ve bought in this price point from amazon, these are by far the best brushes of all of them.

Great brushes, incredible value!
What a difference quality brushes make! I bought this set after reading so many positive reviews. I needed good round brushes for watercolor painting, but can’t afford to spend double the amount of this purchase (or more) for ONE decent brush. These brushes out perform any/all other brushes I own, including my one Princeton Elite ($20) and Princeton Select brushes. These brushes hold a lot of water/pigment. Each one comes to a beautiful point. They are soft with just enough spring-back. I received them yesterday, so I painted with them last night and this morning. The packaging did give opportunity for damage, as the package was simply put in a padded envelope, but mine arrived undamaged. Each brush head was covered with a plastic protector. Some of the brushes were so stiff I wasn’t sure I’d be able to get them cleaned enough to use. I managed. It just took patience and perseverance, and they didn’t shed a single hair in the process (or when painting). All of that stiffening was good protection! The sizes are different than the other brushes I have, but I’ve decided that’s just the way it goes. Each brand is different. My Princeton select and elite brushes are sized differently as well. I am very happy with my purchase. I would definitely recommend, and will purchase again when the need arises.

Excellent value for this very reasonable price!
I ordered these brushes hoping for a quality product at a reasonable price and was not disappointed! They arrive quickly and completely intact. I use them primarily for watercolor paint and they perform even better than I expected. They pick up pigment beautifully and hold their shape vey well. Great product and excellent customer service. I was completely surprised to receive an email from the seller asking if there were any issues with the delivery (there weren't). That's the first time an Amazon seller ever reached out personally to make sure there were no issues! Kudos to them for going the extra mile!

Nice quality
Surprised at the quality. I do not know yet how they’ll hold up to working with oil paints.
