PhotoReady Candid Anti-Pollution Setting Powder

Warning -- even though you might have read a lot of "Vine" reviewers here, (who received free products), they obviously did NOT take flash photos after using this powder, because the flashback is REALLY BAD news in the light shade!!. OK... This is nice enough powder and despite the color, it is translucent. I use the light color for my face, if I do set (since I often do not), and the medium color for my legs, if I use body makeup or self tan) One thing though--- upon flash photography it gives a weird spotty white look under the eyes, or wherever it is used. You can look this up on Allie Gines's YouTube review on the Candid makeup line, not the "Glow", but the original foundation and powder. I'm not getting my picture taken though and I'm very happy with it. It has a nice secure lid for the loose powder. Lots of ppl complain about it, but the secret is to NOT CLOSE THE EXTRA TOP FLAP as tight as you found it, when you first opened it. That said, I'm exploring next level powders which don't mattify my face so much..

I really didn’t think this was gonna make a difference because it was so cheap. That’s the only reason I bought it. But to my surprise, it works really well. I don’t feel like I’ve put anything on. Another powder I used made my face feel tight and caked on when I actually didn’t use very much. But this stuff wasn’t anything like that. I think it was well worth the price I paid for it. I’d buy it again and will mention to friends and family.

I absolutely love this product! It works perfect for me. Covers up well. But I did order the wrong color so I had to return it.

I purchased color 001. It seems like a translucent instead of a color. This is a very light non-cakey powder. As an older user of cream concealers I use this to lightly dust the concealer. Then I do not get it settling into lines but it is not drying. I have used IT blur powder for this purpose but this works much better. Also sunscreen is sometimes shiny and this knocks it down without build up.

The box was small and the color was darker than what was shown in the picture. I wanted to return but the return was not free and it is nearly half the price of the product so not worth returning.

Il prodotto è ottimo e dona un effetto vellutato e un bell’incarnato. Fissa bene il trucco che si mantiene di più. Purtroppo ho smesso di acquistarlo a causa della scomodità del packaging. Una volta svitato il coperchio di apertura, non è semplice sollevare il “tappo” in plastica quasi ermetico , senza rischiare di disperdere ovunque la cipria.

Ordered from my husband’s account - I really like this setting powder, which when I use it with setting spray really does keep my makeup in place. I’ve even used it with Dermacol, which requires the most industrial strength setting powder going - and it works well. I love the hinged cap that stops any mishaps in your makeup bag and it comes with quite a large lip to avoid spills. It also has enough room for a sponge in the top, of you are so inclined. I did find for the first couple of uses it was quite difficult to get the powder out of the holes, but as you use the product it becomes less of an issue. I have used it mainly with a brush, but using a damp beauty blender (I saw this tip after scouring YouTube tutorials) works so well. I would definitely recommend this powder, it mattifies my skin without sucking all of the moisture out of it. It’s also great under the eyes to stop my mascara and eyeliner travelling and giving me panda eyes!
