MCP Mathematics: Level K

I was looking for a book that had the basics in it and some more advanced at the end. Here is what is in it: Chapter 1 Readiness - Positioning, colors, sizes, shapes, matching, patterns Chapter 2 # 1-5 - Number recognition and group number recognition Chapter 3 # 6-9 & 0 - Number recognition and group number recognition Chapter 4 # 0-12 recognition and orders, Sequencing Chapter 5 Time & Money Chapter 6 Numbers through 20, counting money through $.20 Chapter 7 Order and place value # through 30 Chapter 8 Fractions and Measurement Chapter 9 Addition up to 10 (using pictures to help grasp the concept) Chapter 10 Subtraction up to 10 (using pictures to help grasp the concept) This book has 204 pages and at the end of each chapter there is a test page for that chapter. You can buy seperately a teachers manual that is very helpful for how to get things across to your children and grading, however for this book I am not sure what the teachers manual is like becuase it was kindergarten and I figured I could figure it out easily and so far so good. For the older grades it is very helpful to have the teachers manual. We have used the 2nd and 3rd grade Math by MCP and like them all equally. This Kindergaten Math book is great so far for my younger kindergartener. If you are looking for one that is easily taught and that kids can grasp it well I think you will like this one.

I have been homeschooling over 25 years, and I love this Math Program and have used it for my 7 kids and three others. This level K book is very sweet and thorough.

This is a helpful book to go through for young learners. It is, in my mind, more appropriate for K4 than K5 or K6 (A little easy). Excellent for my purposes with a young kindergartener.

This book was suggested to me by my homeschooling mentor, Donna Vail. My son has enjoyed working through this books. We started him in it at five years old, right before entering Kindergarten. We do a few pages every morning. I love it!

Our favorite curriculum for early grades. You don't REALLY need the teachers manual but it does give you additional ideas for review. And...you can NOT beat the price.

Bought this for my high needs students. Love it!

This item had yellowed pages, smelled like smoke, and had a lot of the pages completed. The book itself is good. I’ve used it for my older child. But in this case, the seller was not correct in their assessment that this particular item was in good shape.
