FlexGuard Lumbar Support Back Brace

Really like this back brace!! Light but well made, easily adjustable, durable (purchased one 3 years ago and lasted despite regular outdoor use in Florida heat and humidity). Only issue was USPS didn't deliver as indicated, but contacted company and it was delivered next day. I have herniated disc in lower back (L5?) and I can now walk and sit with minor pain, thus allowing me to do house/yard chores, go shopping, etc. Life saver - Thanks!!

I saw braces way more expensive than this, but they looked the same, so I took a chance and ordered the cheaper one. What a deal! Its got lots of velcro so its easy to adjust the straps however you want. It's very supportive, helps with back pain and is super comfortable - I don't even know its there.

I have back problems and this brace works great. I had tried other braces before. They were not strong enough or too flimsy or too stiff which ended up hurting me instead. This one is great. One thing I wish though was for the front straps to be uniform in width. The widths curve slimmer on the side and then at the ends it gets wider. Well when I tighten it, the sticky end with the little teeth (which is wider) ends up on the slimmer end and it holds there. It still catches and hold up but then because the little hooks on the wider side aren't covered completely due to the slimmer side, it digs into my tummy and itches it at times. I'm not sure if what I'm trying to say makes sense but besides that, it holds fine and helps my back aches a lot.

I start the days with stretching and foam roller workout, followed by daily walking in the 5+ mile range. Some days involve use of the tractor, loading brush and small trees, chainsaw work, stacking wood, mowing, and, when my work is done, relaxing in the boat catching redfish in the near shore gulf waters. A fairly active schedule for a 72 year old guy who is retired but doesn't want to sit around the house doing nothing. Outdoor life has its blessings and unfortunately, the back muscles get a bit strained in the process. That's where the lower back brace by Flexguard support-Lumbar support waist back brace for back pain relief comes in. Its a device to help the back pain take a low spot in the background noise. I purchased this to help me with my nagging back ache and sure enough, it has helped the back ache go away. It even helps with the afternoon power nap, something I am sure you other "seniors" might appreciate. And an fyi, the folks at Flexguard were very gracious in exchanging the first order (ordered one a bit small) for an extra large back brace. The transaction was resolved within a few days and I received a personal message wanting to make sure that I was satisfied with the product. The product and the service are very highly recommended.

I am modifying my review based on extended usage. The first brace I got was missing a metal bar (central) and requested an exchange, so they sent me a new one and requested to return the first one but I decided to keep it. First off I have Degenerative Disc Decease on 4 lumbar discs so I have my experience with pain and brace usage. I used to wear the Mueller and worked good but can use the lumbar pads in either. I also have used the ones recommended by my neurosurgeon when I have had crisis and ended at the hospital. But to finish my review this is the one of the best braces I have used, you need a couple of days to get used to it, at least I did since I am thin an it kind of got on to my rib cage a bit. It breathable, light and provides great support and the added heat/cold insert pouch has been very useful. So I would will buy these again. I would like to try the Back Brace Posture Corrector since I slouch but they ran out but will probably purchase soon. I hope this helps others to decide.

I like the quality of this brace and design too. There's a liumbar pad and pocket for an ice pack, which most don't have. I was replacing two older braces that I still use. This new one seems a bit small for me., circumference-wise The two ends just about meet for the velcro on each piece to hold. I'm not sure if this is how it's meant to be but think when I stretch, the hold won't be very strong. I'm a woman, 5'7 and 153 pounds with belly fluff. I figure this small fit might be because of my shape. I thought M/L would be perfect. I'm a Medium in tops, size 10/12 pants. I ordered the XL and will see if that works and hope it's not too big. Will update when the XL comes in by 10/2/19. I have a feeling I'll give a 5***** for the new one.

I have only had the Lower Back Brace for two days and find it very helpful. I had a fall landing onto a ceramic tile floor that hurt my lower back. X-rays showed no fracture. I have been using the back brace and happened to have a gel heat/cold packet already which I have been using with it. The back brace fits very well where I need it to be. It stretches around my hips and gives good support. Seems to be helping a lot, along with the pain getl the dr prescribed and the pain killer which I do not use but one per day. I depend on the back brace when I am not using the Aura-Wave tens unit. All of the above are contributing to my recovery from the injury I suffered 3 weeks ago.

Sceptical when buying at first but so glad I did great for lower back pain couldn't be without it well worth the money great for posture when back goes couldn't get through the day without it

A back saver! I wear it for some time during the day, and it really helps my back. Helps carrying my baby too. Had trouble with delivery and receiving the package, luckily my neighbour took it.

The product works as described supporting your back. However it did not give me much relief from pain in lower back. It is also quite cumbersome…I won’t be wearing underneath clothing any time soon. It does however seem to be well made and should last. Velcro fastening in particular is excellent. The pocket in the back for heating pads is very useful. The heat can provide some pain relief.

Very supportive for someone with debilitating back pain. Provides great support. I have a desk job and the brace helps provide great support with the added insert pad mid-back makes it feel like the brace is tailored for your back contours. It does what it says on the tin! Highly recommend!
