I find these w/out the stick don't burn all the way down. Can anyone offer a tip to burn the whole stick? Or is that just the way it is?

Hi, what I do is use incense burners where I can lay them flat so I don't have to feel I am wasting money. Unfortunately there is not a great selection of these burners, even in amazon, most "casket incense burners" are made out of wood and are to be designed to be used with incense sticks with a wooden core or with cones. As of right now, 10/07/22, there are only a couple of styles I would use, one is ceramic and the other is metal. Good luck.

There’s quite a big difference in price compared to official Shoyeido website price. Are these authentic Shoyeido?

I bought their incense for years directly from Shoyeido. Recently, I’ve gotten it here 3 or 4 times now and cannot tell the difference.

Are these 450 sticks shorter than than the sticks in the 35 stick pack?

Yes, these sticks are approx. 15 cm length (whereas the 35 stick packs have approx. 22 cm length sticks).

Do these emit a lot of smoke? I have asthma and need an alternative prayer incense.

A "lot of smoke" is pretty subjective. They emit less than cheap Chinese joss sticks, but more than a true "smokeless" incense. Other variables would matter as well. For example the size of your room and amount of air circulation. All incenses emit smoke, and certainly more than a scented candle would. On a scale of 1 to 5 if 1 is virtually no smoke, and 5 is like the worst cheap joss sick, I would rate most Shoyeido incenses at about a 3.
