I have a Chihuahua-mix that I have to fight with in the car as she always has to be in my lap. I was searching for a car bed, or something that she may prefer to lay down on when I'm driving and this appeared. It's made in America (as far as I know) and looked to be something I could use. I purchased one that holds up to 25 lbs (my girl is about 15 lbs). It was easy to "install" as all you do is adjust the strap that goes around the car seat headrest. It has a soft, fleece liner with a little extra padding at the bottom. Seems pretty sturdy. I took one ride so far and...she is not a fan! But - there's an additional leash inside that will help to stop the dog from jumping out of the "seat". (This leash is also adjustable.) After a few miles my pup got used to the fact that, strapped in, she wasn't going anywhere out of the "seat". Eventually, she sat down and curled up in it. Overall, this "dog car seat" seems pretty durable. It's well made with good stitching. The fleece is soft. The fact that the straps are adjustable allows you to adjust the height so my dog can see out the windows. I would recommend this for the smaller dogs and, more importantly, to the owners who want to avoid the distractions of a dog jumping all over you when you're trying to drive.

This booster seat is awesome! Ive got a 20lb mini aussie and have a dog gate in the back of the jeep to keep her from scratching up my new car. I felt bad keeping her in the back and blocked off from the family and the ac. Now my pooch is happy she gets to look out of the window and be in back seat with my daugher. Leash keeps her in well and despite her bein long dog she can still lay down (see pics) comfortably. I was sceptical at first but its pretty sturdy.. although my dog is well behaved and doesnt try to get out. And it keeps her off the seat which i was worried about. I could see that it may be difficult if ur dog wont sit in it for owners w unruly dogs. But 100% happy i bought it! My jeep is safe & dog is happy.

Bought the large because of other reviews noting size of smaller version. They were correct - I have 10 LB yorkie and he would not have fit in smaller one. BUT he loves it, once he got used to sitting still (as yorkies don't do that EVER), he was able to look out the window and be comfortable and SAFE while riding with me in the car. Easy instructions, love the sherpa insert for soft and comfy and room enough for a toy to ride with him and zipper pocket for treats. The harness hook is small but it does the job. Thumbs UP!

We purchased the smaller version for our 6.5 - 7 lb 8+yr old recently rescued Yorkie. As soon as we unboxed, she immediately jumped on it and from her look, claimed it. After installing, tested out to make sure adjustments were secure, inside harness attachment was right etc for her and when I took her out and closed the door, she just sat in front of the car door looking at it then back at me as if to say 'wait, aren't we going someplace?'. The next two pics are from the first outing. She ultimately fell asleep and curled up in the bottom with plenty of room. In the first pic with it collapsed, it doesn't look like there would be a lot of room, but once the sides are pulled up and it's fully extended, it's much more roomy than it looks in the first pic. It's well made and similar to other reviews, like that the lining easily detaches for cleaning. Some have indicated it bounced around which would happen if the belt that goes around the seat is not tightly fitted. When we attached the belt was quite loose even after shortening as much as we could. We easily remedied by twisting the long side of the belt behind the seat to get to the necessary snugness. It did not bounce or move at all on the ride, even when she stood up on the rail to look out (although seeing that pic, we'll snug up the inside harness so she can't reach the car door. It's not really super cushy on the bottom but is certainly is fine as it comes. However, like one other reviewers suggestion, we're going to get a piece of foam to insert on top of the insert for the bottom - it will be easy enough to do (or even a folded old towel will probably do it). When she's curled up in it, you can't see her at all from the front seat, but she typically falls asleep first with her head against the side before sliding down (she did this in the old one we have) and going to sleep as in the last pic. Once we add a bit of padding to the bottom it will still deep enough that when she curls up, we won't be able to see her when we look back. I would recommend.

I looked at a bunch of dog booster seats before getting this, and decided that this would be best. It's even better than I expected. It was designed by people who kept coming up with ways to make it even better. There are some on the market that are inadequately braced on the sides, so the front is pulled toward the back. This one comes folded up, and you can refold it and store it in its case, but it has sides that fold out and keep their shape. It's sturdy, yet light. It's very easy to attach, with a lower strap that goes around the back of the seat (if it's in the front seat) and an upper strap over the headrest, and when it is, it stays in place. I bought the larger size. I have an eight pound papillon who could curl up in the smaller one, I'm sure, but when she stretches, she's over two feet long. This lets her stretch out more. And she loves it! The sides are about eight inches, so she doesn't try to jump out, and she can see over the sides, but she also enjoys the cozy environment when she's sleeping. I'm glad I got this size, though some little breeds would do fine with the small size. I have it adjusted so she sits about six inches higher than sitting on the car seat, and that lets her look out all windows whenever she likes, rather than mostly looking up at sky and trees flashing by. Get this one!

I have a dog that dislikes going in the car. Now with her sitting in the Jespet travel carrier system she is happy and safely secured at the same time. She is close to me, and happy to be able to see out the window as well. Glad I bought it.

My 5 month old schnoodle loves this car seat when we he goes for car rides He can sit high enough to look out the window

Perfect for our poodle. Loves it because he can see outside and all around. Perfect.dog is secure in it.

I add a soft cushion in it and now my dog loves it
