Good purchase
Linseed oil putty, not much to say, it does the job and 2kg is a good amount for your windows. Once you have worked the linseed into the putty it works as expected.

Very easy to work with as it contains linseed oil.
This was ideal for the fitting of a new pane of glass after the window in our garage door was blown shut by the wind. After I removed all the old putty and cleaned up the wood, (the longest part of the job) I used linseed oil to treat the wood then applied the putty and placed the glass against the putty. I then inserted little metal clips into the frame to help retain the glass in place while I applied the outer layer of putty. I then nailed the wooden beading in place. The putty was so easy to work with. I’m very pleased with the final result. Ps the glass I bought was safety glass and is cut by a laser. This means there are no sharp edges. Much safer to handle.

Does the Job!
Has this in a smaller tub a few years ago but didn’t want to scrimp, had a large (acrylic) panel come away from the greenhouse in a recent storm (high winds/ gales) had a similar problem previously and this worked, easy to use and does the job. To clarify, I’m a ‘mature’ female and ok at small diy jobs, the job was a large acrylic panel into a metal frame, I used a putty knife and took my time, it was a cold day but not too damp, easy to do and from previous experience I know this will last at least 4 years, probably longer but depends on the weather (the small’ish greenhouse does not like gales!), I would definitely recommend as a durable and easy to use product and much cheaper than getting a workman in to repair!

Check condition on receipt
Poorly packaged & tub had burst open! Still looks useable but not very clever packaging…

Worked great
First time using putty. Read previous reviews so knew to knead well. Got a good smooth, even layer and formed a good seal all round 2x1 meter window x2. With a little left. Pleased with end result. Took a couple of coats of the wooden window frame paint, which isn't meant for smooth surfaces so wasn't surprised had to paint a few times. Good product.
