I’m 19 and a student. All I wanted was a projector so I can watch TV after I get off work. This projector DOES THE JOB!! Obviously you’re paying for what you get however , this is beyond amazing. It surpassed my expectations for a projector. Not only can I change where I put the projector and the screen size works out as well as picture quality but I can use a remote !! The price is amazing ! There is a quiet noise When watching TV but that’s just part of the machine. It’s not distracting at all I can just hear it when I focus on that specific noise. When I watch my movies I literally don’t notice it at all. I was watching anime so of course the colors and lines showed up perfectly on the projector . My room is light grey with accents and I project the screen onto a open wall. This works out great for me because not only can I fit the projector in a small drawer where are used to keep my make up but now I can just take out the projector when I want to to watch a movie and put it away. There is no mess at all my room still looks clean and sleek while I’m watching my movie. The sound is also amazing!!!! I am in love with this projector. I use an HDMI cable from Amazon basics to Connect the projector to my MacBook.

If you bought this for watching movies, specifically from your phone, do not bother for a million reasons! First—it takes about 45 cords and plugs just to get it to work with a phone—you need the projector plugged in, then you need a lightning HDMI adapter (SOLD SEPARATELY), then you need an HDMI, THENNN you need a phone charger to plug INTO THE ADAPTER and then into a power outlet. Let me Repeat that...the HDMI adapter also needs a power source plugged into it. By the time you do all of this, it’s no longer small and portable...it’s a disaster of cords. So then, once you finally have this whole situation figured out (if you’re lucky enough to figure it out), here’s the kicker—IT DOESNT SUPPORT STREAMING OF VIDEOS. The second you connect your phone while playing from your cable provider or Netflix, it says that screen recording is not permitted and WILL NOT PLAY on your device. And lastly, the quality itself just sucks. Smells like something is burning when it’s running and I only had it on for a few minutes. When I did have any sort of image on the screen it was very dimly lit and the picture quality was awful. Read some other reviews and they will agree, you have to been in a pitch black room and very close to the wall or screen you’re projecting it onto...which we now know is impossible because it has to be plugged in to a million cords to even work in the first place. Really hope this review helps someone else who was shopping for the same thing I was...because this is NOT that product.

I did not expect much from this product so I wasn't very disappointed. I wanted to try out a low cost projector first before I dropped the money for all the bells and whistles. I chose this one because it has two separate power inputs. You can use the supplied AC adapter to get full brightness out of the back light. It's still not bright enough for day time viewing but it's noticeably brighter than using the micro USB power port. I really like the fact that it has that micro USB option. I hooked my Roku streaming device to it and powered them both off of a battery bank and it lasted long enough to watch two programs. (Your time will vary depending in the size of the battery bank you use) This portability makes it great for camping. The resolution isn't great. It's not even good. I had trouble navigating my Roku menus because the letters were difficult to read. This thing would be useless in a professional office setting or anywhere that legible text is desired. But more than suitable to let the kids watch some cartoons. I would suggest an external speaker as the built in speaker isn't designed to give a rich quality. Considering the low price point and portability I'm pretty happy with it. The only thing to do now is see how long it lasts and whether or not it can survive a camping trip with small children.

Bought this to play my SNES mini and other mini game consoles while I’m away from home on business. I stay in a sparse suite with no TV in the bedroom. For retro games, absolutely this is more than adequate. Yes, you see pixels and sure it could be brighter, but there are other advantages that I don’t think a lot of reviewers consider. This can be powered solely by a USB power bank, meaning you can literally put it anywhere, including outdoors camping with no access to a mains. The DC cord supplied is too short anyway. I wasn’t expecting anything that would blow me away, and I got a bit better quality than I expected. The colors are vibrant and the design of the unit is nice. The portability was a huge purchase factor for me, and the remote is great, but you an still operate all functions with the buttons on the unit. This was one of the main things that turned me off about ViewSonic’s portable offering. I know I’d lose the remote eventually. The speaker is also quite loud and the volume knob is very nice to have right there on the unit.

This is an amazing product. I got this projector shipped in 2 days in standard shipping and the package was securely packed. most HD movies are projecting at 1080p and unbelievable high definition. I don't have a screen yet and the projector looks great on my light yellow wall (300'inch) already and projecting with accurate sharpness and brightness. I really like the sound and the surround support. The remote control provides option to control the volume and bass setup.The device is ceiling mountable and comes with easy/simple install instruction and owner's manual. I tested the video from my laptop via both HDMI and VGA and the video projection was great and sound transmitted perfectly. Also I connected my Chromecast device via USB port and video synced as is with excellent picture and sound quality. I highly recommend this projector for a basement/indoor home theater setup. This projector saved me huge money and met all my requirement.

I actually bought this projector last year because I wanted one that was cheap and small. If you want a cheap projector don't buy this. It will actually be a waste. Some of these ratings are way too high for what this is. I'm WARNING you that the picture quality for this is NOT HD and is probably no better than 720p maybe 420p. When watching a movie or show with subtitles it's almost impossible to read any words and kind of looks like you're watching it through a window screen. You are way better off buying a normal projector that is more expensive but trusts me you'd be making the right choice to spend a little extra. You NEED a speaker for this projector or you won't hear the sound well. It's not that bright. For the price it is okay, but I suggest you spend a little extra on something that will not disappoint. This will disappoint anyone who is looking to watch movies on a big screen. The screen for this is actually really big, but once again I can't stress how bad the picture quality for this is. I just ordered a new projector for $250. Don't make the same mistake I did and waste $60 on this when you can spend $250 and actually get your money's worth. Please put this $60 towards a more expensive projector. You'll thank me later.

This projector is remarkably small and despite its being tiny in comparison to a standard projector it really punches above its weight. The projection ratio seems to be better than a full size projector and the portability of the device is tremendous. It’s about the size of a portable hard drive and I think it weighs less than one, it can be placed almost anywhere and really works great. In terms of connectivity, I’ve only used the HDMI port to connect the laptop and a fire stick, both devices performed brilliantly, not only that but considering the device is so compact, the sound quality again is better than expected. To be honest when I first seen this device, I thought I made a mistake. I wanted a compact projector I didn’t have to ceiling mount or run cables in for, but I wanted it for a big wall and worried this small device wouldn’t project a high enough quality picture. Well as much as I struggle to type this sentence. I was wrong... It’s tiny but still performs amazingly, it’s elegant and sleek to look at, it’s about as portable as a projector will ever be and it is simple to setup.

Unit #1 I received the first unit with three issues. First, the manual focus on the unit was extremely loose. The projector would not stay in focus. A smallest of vibrations would cause this unit to go out of focus. Both the Micro SD card slot and USB ports could not read my devices. I used standard jpg and png images and used the recommended H.263 MP4 format. The projector could not detect that the USB flash drive or the Micro SD card were inserted into the device as they were not options when selecting the source as stated in the manual. I contacted the manufacturer for help. They suggested returning the item to them which would have taken about 15 days. I said I would return the item to Amazon and reorder. The support team was friendly, but did not offer any troubleshooting of the device. Unit #2 I received my second unit. The manual focus was stiffer and able to stay in focus, but it was still fairly loose. After the second unit, this just seems to be poor quality. I tried again using a Micro SD card and a USB flash drive. I tried different cards and flash drives to ensure that it was not my items causing the projector not to read them. Neither worked just like the first unit. I contacted the manufacturer again to try and resolve the card reading issues. This time, I did not receive a response to my questions. I have no choice but to return the second non-functioning unit. Brightness: I'm not sure how many lumens this projector puts out, but it is surprisingly good for a cheap and small projector like this. However, it doesn't make a difference if the units are defective. Picture Quality: The picture quality was ok. Nothing spectacular, but surprising for the price. Remote: The remote seems like a good remote for this unit. The only issue is that the remote must be pointed directly at the back of the unit where the sensor is. Line-of-sight only. Not ideal in all setups. I was hoping this would be a decent little unit for the price. If it had worked, I would have been somewhat happy. However, both units were defective making these worthless to me.

I use this product for tracing art work on desk top maximum 18" away from the desk.
